This may have been posted before? Johnson "earned" about £3m last year, but is getting us, the tax payer, to pay his legal bill for him contesting Partygate! £300,000 ????
Interest rates been pushed up again, now at 4%! That's the highest they've been since the last Labour government when the rate grew from 3.5% in 2003 and rose to 5.75% in 2007. Will this Tory government see rates go above 5.75%?
Shell have just announced their biggest annual profit ever. £32billion. The tax on that will pay for a nice payrise for nurses and teachers. And so on. Oh hang on though.
It'll be interesting to see how they're dodging that. I was also interested to see that petrol prices have stopped coming down after lots of people said the reduction would bring inflation down faster. It's not just the government taking the piss.
It’s a shame there’s not an election date set yet, we could put a count down clock to when they are going to disappear.
Said on news that most of their profit is made in other countries and tax is paid in those . Nevertheless , should pay us more as the record profits have come from them taking the opportunity to use the market price increases to us to attach a nice little increase for themselves
And how they spin everything. Sunak was right to appoint Zahawi. He was right not to sack him. He was right to sack him. All when he knew exactly what he'd done
Brexit has ruined sex life of endangered rhinos and big cats, warn zoos https://metro.co.uk/2023/02/01/brex...gered-rhinos-and-big-cats-warn-zoos-18200965/
Just realised who Sunak reminds me of ... ... I wonder if his tie tucks into his shirt for hospital visits
Brexit helped to save Ukraine from Vladimir Putin In the face of EU vacillation, a sovereign UK gave Kyiv what it needed to drive Russia back It wasn’t supposed to be like this. Almost a year ago, the first echelons of Putin’s tank armies spearheaded pincer strikes on Ukraine. The plan was to join up with Russian airborne forces which would land at Hostomel airport, then storm into Kyiv, find and kill Zelensky, install a Putin-compliant puppet government and be home within the month. Instead, Ukrainian soldiers, using fresh, large supplies of British N-LAW anti-tank weapons, blew Putin’s tanks off the roads, shouting “God Save the Queen” as they fired them. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/02/04/brexit-helped-save-ukraine-vladimir-putin/
Well no bias in that report from the Torygraph Absolutely not, no sireeeee We just have to keep looking harder to find that Brexit benefit, there must be one somewhere
Brexit benefit .... you crack me up. "In the face of EU vacillation, a sovereign UK gave Kyiv what it needed to drive Russia back." When does this actually start
