Maybe already posted but great highlights clip here - mute it as always. Looks to me like a really exciting player. Quick and direct. What I really liked was the awareness - there's not a lot of headless chicken dribbling or runnning into dead ends in there. Lots of flair with the double stepovers and a ridiculous number of nutmegs which means good composure again to me. 5* would definitely sign him. Oh we did. My only beef is why we now have Orsic, Edozie and Sulemana competing for one spot. Someone is going to need to become a 10 and push Moi.
He is the profile SR is looking for. Pace, power and direct. Doesn't tend to pass sideways or backwards. Invariably if there is no good options forward, he will drive forward and wait for an opportunity. Does find blind alleys, loses the ball, but doesn't play the safe percentages. Not the finished article, but very high potential ceiling.
he certainly appears to play with his head up. As ever with these YouTube clip they tend to cut away and you wonder if that is before a screw up after a bit of skill, but he seems to stay on his feet and out muscle defenders
Great piece on Sulemana, apparently his dribbling stats are better than Saint-Maximin, who has the best take-on stats in the PL. https://www.skysports.com/football/...on-could-be-unstoppable-in-the-premier-league
It would be interesting to see the full list as if St Maximin is top with 3.7 completed dribbles per game, you'd think Edozie is not a long way behind that. If edozie can add a little muscle to his frame and improve his end product he will be a genuinely elite level player.
In a year or two, one can dream of a front line of Edozie, Sulemana and Mara, supplied by Alvarez. MAXIMUM ANARCHY
