So, with Nigel going (gone?), it leaves me worrying who he will come back in for. Pretty much all of our players were his purchases. I fear he will offer us good money for Rosenior, even better money for Chester and probably have a go for Stewart as well. Leicester are really lacking width atm, so somebody like Stewart or Brady would slot right in. I also think he might go for McLean if Beckford continues misfiring.

Anybody else feeling a tad worried we might get poached?

My 3 biggest concerns are that we'd stand no chance of getting Waghorn and the possibility of losing Chester and Rosenior.

The rest are more or less replacable for the money we'd get.

rosenoir keeps saying how much he loves hull, could be a good chance to see how much, said hes been on more money before but he loves it here....
didnt they pay 5 million for a centre back? 10 million for chester seems fair

I dunno about January but summer might be a different story, especially if they finish strongly and we do badly.

I'm worried about him poaching Rosenior and Chester, however hopefully our new manager will see their quality and demand a very high price for each of them. He can take McLean if he wants, I doubt many would mind.

Agree about some being replaceable, but I feel that the Man U kids will be the difference between play offs and just missing out. Stewart is explosive in this division, if we lost him we might find ourselves (a bit like Leicester) unbalanced. I wouldn't mind seeing McLaren come in, he has good ties in European football. I wonder how much Miller will cost from Forest? Also, a spell back in Hull might hammer that daft accent out of him. Or somebody might hammer it out of him.

Get a new manager in with a strong focus on playing the younger players and tell NP to &%$k off!! If he wants new players look elsewhere.

This will depend massively on who our next manager is. If it is a Curbishley, I think that the majority of the players will be more than happy to stay and it will only be maybe Fryatt and Hobbs who want to leave. I think that losing Hobbs wouldn't be that bad as long as we got a decent amount for him. I would like to see Cooper return from Huddesfield and play alongside Chester. Also, I would love to see Sonny Bradley get a chance but I'm not sure that will happen for a while yet.

Is this not a bit over the top? We've not built this way just because of nigel pearson, it's also got a lot to do with making sure we don't make mistakes like last time when we got to the prem but most importantly because we are an ambitious club and for that reason i'm sure that whatever manager comes in will be given the same allowances nige was and if he comes back to buy any players than first our manager will decide If he wants too keep the said player and then if we do sell i'm sure it will be because we get offered a great deal

Miller was turd against us a couple of weeks ago. I'd avoid signing him.

My guess he wont come for Hobbs or Fryatt, shame really but one out of three will do for starters.

The way Mclean has been playing recently, I would mind. He's looked better than Fryatt

If he goes he goes, yes will be a great lose however we will demand a big payout for him. Chester and Roseinor wont be going anywhere without a huge fee either, remember we have a rich owner and sensible chairman now. OK he may poach Bradey, however our club has a great relationship with man utd so may be able to hold on to him. Waggy is there player anyway.

Anyone for Barmby as next manager?

For me we need to be building in a 'Colchester clause' that stops him from buying any of our players for at least a year. If he wants the move that bad it should be on our terms. I've got nothing against him and wish him the best, he's done a great job while he's been here but since it looks like he's gone I'm only interested in what's best for the Tigers.
The most interesting thing for me will be his signings at Lester. His best signings here have been Chester, Rosie, Stewart and Koren. All together costing about 600k, how will he handle big money he will have at Lesta?

He pissed away this summer's transfer budget on Hobbs.

So you'd have to suggest he won't handle it very well at all.

We are not in debt, we don't have to sell, we are supposed to be progressive according to the Allams.

So now we'll just have to wait and see?????
