    Yeah can’t see it happening, good to see we are still going for targets though. Hopefully there is at least another one when Dembele goes somewhere else or turns us down

    Maybe we'll chuck a big wage at Dembele for six months (or maybe a big signing-on fee) with a release clause that he can walk away for £3m in the summer if we go down. That could probably swing it. Let's face it, we could afford to do it with a reduced fee to acquire him.

    Given the situation we're in I'd even say let him go for free. Either a release clause or a six month contract with an option for the club to extend if we stay up.

    Tactic for Everton and West Ham must be to bid for every player we do… then they can pull out too late for us to sign and leave us knackered! Too late in the window for anything now unless a complete surprise; resigned to us valiantly failing to sign anyone despite trying really hard. With the World Cup break etc we should have had deals lined up right at the start of the window; always been bad at tying things up this late
