Quite like "we lose every week - you're nothing special - we lose every week" which I thought was a creative spin when the oppo is celebrating a goal...
There was a pass out in front of the East stand to Christie out wide on the other touchline, the ref pulled it back but Christie volleyed in directly back to the passer, sorry not sure who it was, but he trapped it dead on the return, just two sublime bits of play summed up how good we were today
You don’t think adding Malcom, Tetteh, Ally, Pelkas and then Traore for the run in will make a difference? Something Elder offers that Greaves doesn’t is the overlap. He put in a dangerous cross in the first minute today.
I think everyone needed today. Winning away is great obviously, but having something resembling good home form goes a long way for morale. It’s what most of us see and experience afterall. Today was actually fun, which it hasn’t been in a while. It highlighted the nature of the Championship I felt as well. Most teams are much of a muchness so whoever turns up wins. Today it was us.
The way the QPR defenders looked at each other and not the linesman for Connolly's 2nd suggests they know he was onside.
Have felt ever since Bowen left that whoever has been our number 9 has been very isolated. Was interested to see how it would work with Oscar and Connolly working close together and it clearly worked very well. Hope we can still keep this option when we have more wingers fit.
So right Tigress, decent ref, Connollys touch and strike for the third goal was great. I thought both full backs did very well. Nice to have that home winning feeling again on a Saturday night
Small details make a difference and I noticed the same. So much more enjoyable to watch and more productive. Long may that partnership continue
Gutted I didn't bet on this It did also finally click. Good early goal brought QPR and apart from a brief spell from them in the second half I never felt like City were out of control. Seri, Elder, Tufan and Connolly all stood out. Up the tricky Tigers
All comments on here in the main very positive about Citys perfomance. I for one felt a little underwhelmed. We have had better perfomances in the recent past and have got beaten. Turning point for me was the second goal. After our first goal we seemed to go off the boil and QPR were in ascendance and later we had a little luck with the second goal (about time). If QPR had have nicked one back with the score at 1 0 it goes without saying that the result would have more than likely been different. Thought Connolly had a great game and showed eye catching skill when bringing the ball down with aplomb, which in one case led to the third goal. A win is a win and to win b 3 goals and keep a clean sheet is commendable. LR is putting together a team to be proud of.
