That sounds like a season ending injury for him. Such a shame, but these things happen. Get him well, get him a new contract and we'll see him next year. In the meantime, we need another striker now, hopefully someone permanent. I'd be happy if we can get Simms over the line.
Roker Report has Dan Neil MoM, wouldn't argue with that but might have made him joint with Patterson.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think we will have a striker for the replay? I think we can only play players that were eligible on the day of the original game? Even if Simms comes back, both him and Gelhardt cup tied
Most of that is close enough, though I think it's harsh on Clarke - to rate him the same as Ba for this performance is scandalous.
Magnificent performance that. We have a squad to be proud of. Sky is the ceiling for this team. I am a baised sod but I thought Dan Neil was absolutely immense. A real premier level performance all day. Roberts was class and Clarke best for a while. Patto - some class saves. Proud as punch of them all.
The shadow is Ross' injury. We'll look after him, and he'll be back. I'd like us to sort a deal out for him now. But the blinding, shining light is the direction of this young squad. They are bloody first rate in every respect. They might get beat, but they always show up. Some great performances today. Well done lads. Keep going.
Only a Sunday plodder, not a full rupture and only normal treatment, but about nine months. I was just as slow when I returned!
Couldn't Agree more! for many years we had very good Keepers, then when Pickford left we got some keepers who couldn't "keep a cow out of an abattoir" Young Patto could be as good as Pickford if he continues as he is and keeps improving. Proud of the Lads and Fans today! And despite all the heartbreak and false dawns over the years........................................................... I LOVE THIS CLUB!!!!!
First time I've ever heard him say anything positive about us but he was absolutely purring about the cats.
In his brief appearances so far Chris Rigg reminds me a lot of Don Hutchison in the way he moves and the positions he takes up in the 10 role.
