And the guy had the cheek to complain, after being being all over Bachmann trying to stop him.

Another foul where Boro get the free kick when their player knocks ours over by getting in the way.

We just weren't at the races today. Slick quick passes from Boro, while we looked slow and laboured.

It was a good stream, wasn't it? Shame the performance wasn't up to the same quality...I just stumbled across the link on Twitter, never normally fluke ones as good as that.

We aren’t that great as it is and these injuries really escalated the problem.

    It’s getting beyond a joke .

No wonder teams like Boro look better than us.

Of course as usual after each defeat there is talk of sacking Bilic - not sure what that would achieve?

I came across this on twitter. It seems that the author has some knowledge on the subject.

Joao Ferreira’s injury is potentially the most telling of all. It could be compete coincidence. There’s a reason hamstring injuries are one of the most common and persistent within the sport. I won’t bore everyone with a thread about the mechanism of the injuryitself. But we’re effectively talking about a dominant muscle in the production of force. When going from passive/jogging to a sprint they’re under an immense amount of stress.
Now the question is how do you prepare for that as an athlete. Football is difficult dueto the fluid nature of the game, we’re going to be changing pace/direction frequently over a long period of time. If you had to create a harsh environment for hamstrings it would be football. Work off the field is key. Strength and conditioning, mobility, stability work are integral to gaining maximum function and the appropriate level of ‘prehab’. This is something that starts in pre season. I’d definitely like to see the programming of these players.
BUT.. If Joao’s injury is indicative of the injuries we’ve seen ravagethe squad this season, it might get the trainers off the hook (mostly). He’s only been with us a couple of weeks. So what does that suggest? We need to be looking at preparation, workload and recovery.
Preparation: I don’t mean static stretching, I’m talking about full activation. It’s got to be dynamic, it’s got to be game specific and considered. Even position specific if we’re being precise.
Workload: What are we asking of the players in training, off the pitch, on the field? The medical team have to be working in conjunction with the coaches to decide on this. The medical team of course have to be accurate but also listened to when concerns are raised. Hamstring rehab is one thing, but we’re looking for the causation more than anything.
Recovery: Are the players getting adequate rest, hydration, mobility, deceleration work, nutrition etc etc. Are we monitoring their recovery away from the training ground? If so to what extent?
These are just some of the areas that have to be investigated. Mostly likely it’s a combination of things combining to creat one of the worst injury crisis we’ve seen at this club. It’s FAR beyond coincidence now.

The fancy hydro chamber at the training ground obviously isn’t doing it’s job .

I thought that was supposed to help injury recovery, rather than prevent it.
