Can now see why Newcastle got Gordon for £40m. Everton insisted that Gordon put in a transfer request and Newcastle had to pay all money up front in one hit, enabling Everton to do business before the window closes. Suppose it’s still called creative accounting

Better get a manager in soon then or it will be too late to spend it <ok>

I reckon they'll have already spoken to Dyche regarding targets. The problem is can they force them through before Tuesday night.

Everyone knows they have 40 mil as well which could drive prices up

Surely though, the sensible thing would be to sit on some incase they go down ?

If we fail to land McKennie then who the hell do get go as we spent this month chasing Ounahi.

The LB problem is still there and we seem to be chasing this Brazilian lad from Fiorentina who's a CB.

I noticed with Dyche that he managed to get a lot of his players from the Championship and barely went out of England to sign people up. Yeah they've got £40 million but in modern standards it's not much.

My Brother in law said to me that Everton was a championship standard squad. My guess is if Dyche does keep them up then he will have to do a Forest and sign a new squad whilst getting rid of the old guard or they're gonna be in this situation every year.

It's gonna be like Sunderland before they got relegated from the Prem.

Last time we went for the third unknown option it didnt turn out too bad, as in Willie Gnonto <ok>

You boys need to concentrate.

Nicolas Raskin. Belgian midfield player at Standard Liege. 21 year old.

Heavily linked with us in the summer when we were looking at Adams and Roca.

Contract runs out in the summer and price has dropped to 900k. Someone asked what we would do of the McKennie transfer falls through. This guy is a cheap alternative.

Heavily linked by his agent then ?

This is why I can't be arsed to read any transfer threads as 99.99% of it is just bollocks.

Still find it strange we’ve spent a lot of money and still looking to spend but no replacement for Firpo.

Weston let’s sell Harrison and use the money to help fund

Maybe the theory is if we have enough quality in midfield & attack then it will massively take the pressure of the defence and if that were to happen then maybe the defenders we have are actually good enough ?

Sounds like a strong straw to clutch at.
Koch and wober could be a good central pairing,
Ayling or Ras at rb, solid but not spectacular.
LB, might as well play firpo, no worse than Struijk defensively and better going forward .
That’s my straw to clutch at.

Amazing that Ounahi was for sale at £20m to Leeds and we said no too steep all English clubs quoted the same and now he gets sold for €8m plus €2m in add ons. Scandalous prices we pay compared to other European leagues

something very fishy about this one… be a proper sickener if mckennie falls through
