I doubt any incoming manager would be happy if they are expected to use players who are clearly still developing when they will be in a relegation battle.
It would be a ridiculous window if we can bring in some of the top talents like these. Not big names to most supporters, but we’ve seen the type of football we can play with the talented lads we have now.
Absolutely brilliant business if it comes off, Speakman has made mistakes which he deserves criticism for but he equally deserves praise
Might have opposite affect - new manager coming in will want to sign his own striker. Main way to do that is to raise funds. So they could look to sell him. Either way they won't need him. He'll be back.
Yeah he does. He has overseen and managed the recruitment team very wall. Harvey and Young probably deserve the bigger praise but yeah, all good.
Pierre Ekwah looks like he could become the midfielder our fans have been asking for us to sign for 15 years We need to remember he's young and not played first team football much though. Doubt we get loads of him this season but who knows
Could work in our favour if the remaining clubs coaches and management think he should’ve stayed with us
Sorry if already posted just been having a stalk on Ekwah and what west ham fans have said about him and found this which is from early december so I assume it's a cup game but a good finish against a league one side.
I watched some of their U21 game the other night he played in. He just ran the game, strolling around like Patrick Vieira.
He will come here knowing age or experience doesn’t matter at all if you are good enough. Just look at Hume, probably third in the pecking order and played very little at this level. Gets his chance and absolutely grabs it, now one of the first names on the team sheet for me. Other young promising players who are either close to the end of their contract or not getting a chance where they are will be definitely taking note of us. We may be a stepping stone for some but that’s fine by me as long as their attitude is right.
Loving how the club are giving out long contracts to these young lads. Shows a real commitment to their development and of course protects any future sale value. Dont know much about this lad, but the club have their head screwed on about these young lads. He has some competition in centre mid mind considering we play 2. Neil and Michut look an excellent pairing. Be nice to play 433 on occassion though I think.
