One day football clubs and the media might realise that being a good manager and a good player aren’t the same skill set, in very rare occasions you get some that tend to be both. (I will caveat that by saying Lampard did reasonably well in the Championship, but it hasn’t worked for him at Chelsea and Everton). I wonder if Everton might get some of that mythical ‘new manager bounce’ I hear so much about.
