I was going to redress the plastic comment but it's been well redressed by Wishi and Darwinism, lost the argument when you resort to name calling. PS The Fool reminds me of the Black Knight.
he's just angry. he's had several goes at me as well but I know it's just anger and frustration. I know different people come to different conclusions at different times and honestly some refuse to see things as they are not pleasant but there you go. I personally know people get annoyed if I forget that I keep going on about the same things but a little polite please give it a rest can be far better than some of the stuff I get. we all just want the best for the club etc. that's important to remember. and it'll get better again. it always does.
This scenario COULD develop to the benefit of both the club and the individual. It doesn’t have to be doomsday does it? I think we have a manager who is honest with himself to recognise when he has come to the end of a chapter and restart a rebuilding project somewhere else given the opportunity. Every leader in any profession, in sport as in politics and other walks of life has a shelf life. A good example is the one that taught us a lesson yesterday. Brighton lost a very good manager in Potter. Did they fall into the abyss? No . Their new man in fact kept the good things about their game (their passing game etc ) and improve on their scoring record. With potter they couldn’t score for toffee. Now they are arguably in as good a place if not better than before and they’ve been given a new lease of life.
We'll be linked with every Middle-east potentate toll the end of the season, then we'll be taken over by Mike Ashley on loan. Gakpo feels like a replacement for Origi, at best. That said, the poor ****er must be looking at United and us and thinking "What the **** have I done!?!!?".
he took the actual offer on the table. he has been angling for a move on from psv for 18 months. now he has it. I've zero issue with him, he is clearly not a 9 but that's OK. the club bought cos they know full well Jota and diaz are done for most if not all of season, just not admitting it. to then trun round as the club who pay 10mil net in summer and scream no money when there's a shocking fall off in midfield is what's driving most mad. we have 5 attackers for next season. we also have to ponder what's up with carvalho
There's probably nothing wrong with Carvalho. Maybe bad recruitment? Not the player we thought we were getting so doesn't fit. Very difficult to join us at the moment especially for a relatively inexperienced player. Hell it's only taken 3 games for us to drag Gakpo down to our level!
That is precisely the point. We seem to wait until we're in a crisis to build on the team, unlike the Liverpool of the 70s and 80s that built from positions of strength.
I highly doubt klopp would walk. Remember when we lost 6 on the bounce at home 2 years ago? we’re playing **** but it’s not the poor run of form we’ve been in. No manager walks after winning trophies, signing a new contract then suddenly goes through half a season of poor form. Unless he’s totally lost the dressing room and fsg have told him no money to invest, which I don’t see as happening. I think most fans would rather 50% of the squad is cleared out rather than the manager if that is the case though.
We have an amazing talent for buying players we don't use. Maybe if we did use them we wouldn't be in this mess
Honestly who out there is better than Klopp The way I see it there are only two out there that are even on a par with him, one is at City and the other at Real. They're not going to come to replace Klopp, so there isn't much point in trying to change when your only getting a worse option.
Hearing a strong rumour Keita's going to be let go in the summer on a free with no contract renewal. Not one of Klopp's finest signings it has to be said
Not particularly Klopps fault. Keita was good before he came to us, showed why we bought him and we've given him loads of chances. But injuries and lack of character from the player himself have held him back. There is a player in there, but he just hasn't shown that with us.
Yup. Wouldn’t take anyone else right now. Look klopp isn’t immune to criticism. He’s stubborn in his style when things are going bad. 2 years ago messing around with centre mids at cb. Now it’s almost the opposite where won’t alter from style at all despite poor performances. Need to do something to try and either help the CM, or almost bypass it and focus on getting ball up top quickly and tell the CM to sit in deep. After sneaking in to top 4 2 years ago, we didn’t know where we’d go despite fact we got couple players back, and we almost did the impossible. No doubt there’s a hangover from that season. The World Cup prob hasn’t helped. The injuries to key personnel. This season is going to be tough. It probably won’t end up in CL football but plenty clubs miss out and still sign young hungry players. I’d still out is with klopp as a better prospect than spurs, chelsea etc. arsenal have shown that with money and right recruitment with young hungry energetic players you can get them without CL football. Ali Taa Konate vvd robbo CM Fab CM diaz Nunez gakpo Hendo thiago Elliott Salah firmino Jota Gomez tsimikas Jones Ramsay Bajcetic doak Clark morton 2 energetic cm’s in that midfield. Pace up top with all 3 plus squad depth in the bench. This team isn’t hopeless, it’s just needs a refresh in key position. And arguably the midfield has been the most important part of our team under klopp
That’s the frustrating thing. All the stats show how good Keita can be. He has energy, he can tackle, he can lead the press. He can bring the ball forward. Problem is, doesnt do it consistently and when he does then get a run he invariably gets injured.
Not sure Cavallho has had a decent crack of the whip yet.Might as well give him a run of games and see if he can produce the goods.
Are we writing off another teenager, Jones, Elliott and now Cavalho? Sure lets blame the younger players cause the team is playing **** . Nothing to do with senior players not doing their jobs, its all the teenagers fault
