Firstly, FSG to blame for lack of investment. Next the players, some need to take a long hard look in the mirror. All this talk of fatigue and stuff, they are professional players and playing for one of the top clubs. Klopp is the manager and has to take some responsibility but he does not seem to be able to get us sorted out at the moment. This season is over for us, either FSG invest or clear off. After the highs of the past few seasons, we need to have a massive clear out .
You also have to ask what is going on with all the soft tissue injuries. I wish the season was over to be honest. We will be lucky to finish in the top 10 never mind the top four

They won't invest this window, they've already made that clear. They brought in Gakpo, a striker, when we needed a bloody midfielder. Two midfielders. Three. Where the **** are they? Does Klopp have the mental strength to wait until the summer because from what I can see he's flagging. Then he comes out and says he has to be creative with the options he has, yeah, conceding six goals in two games, and there were no signs of that defeat today. How about the shambles against Brentford and Wolves, and the **** against Fulham and Forest? It's not being fixed. If anything, Klopp will walk

I don’t blame us for getting Gakpo because our attack is seriously depleted. I do question his suitability though.

It shouldn’t be a question of choosing between an attacker and a midfielder. A club of our stature should be addressing all the needs there and then. Instead, we just deferred and deferred for years. Negligence from the management

At the end of the day, Klopp got what we wanted and got more control and influence at the club which ultimately resulted in not one but two sporting directors to leave along with our head of research.

He’s made his bed and now has to lie in it. The entire structure has gone to sh*t.

Then the question, or question(s) is.. Will Klopp wait until the Summer? And will we give him the leeway that no matter what happens, he gets the Summer to rebuild? The one thing i do worry about is the transformation in style over the past few seasons, it's clear the quality of our football has nosedived but it was excusable while we were winning.. but the swashbuckling, pressing and outscoring the opposition has turned in to something neither here nor there, it's hard to put a finger on our style of play and that has been the downfall of many teams around us over the last few seasons.

When you say 'we' do you mean the fans or the owners? For in reality, we all know what tends to happen: the manager's head rolls first. It's happened before and no one could accuse us of being Chelsea when Klopp's been here nearly eight years. That's a record for us given our recent past with Hodgson and Rodgers. It's out of our hands, anyway. Like it or not, FSG still own the club

I really hope FSG don’t take Klopp out. If he decides to leave, who is going to turn it around on our budget. Klopp deserves a chance to turn it around in the Summer

Until he starts becoming more ruthless, unfortunately he will face the chop.

He needs some strong characters around him to fix the tactics and the recruitment. We miss Edwards and Gordon.

More likely Klopp will walk if he doesn't get enough money to rebuild the team. The ball is definitely in FSG court,if they don't invest in a team rebuild we're not going to look so attractive to buy in the future.

Newcastle, spurs and Brighton have a higher net spend than us in the last five years.

Newcastle certainly do in the last two.

However as has been shown. Spend is not everything, getting the spend correct is spot on.

Thiago, Ox, keita are all poor signings.

Klopp has got it mostly spot on upfront and in defence but midfield seems a blind spot.

    it's this simple.

    1. assemble an 11 who is arsed and can run.

    that's klopps job.

    2. provide a squad who are arsed and can run.

that's fsg and their appointees job.

    3. be arsed and put up a fight.

    that's the players job.

they all need a hard look and some ruthlessness now.

klopp can only start by finding 11 and then finding some formation and tactics that will suit.

the players need a serious wake up and I'd be all for someone punching someone else in training just to wake them up. the mistakes over past 2/3/4 games are just plain pathetic. alisson, matip, konate, thaigo, Elliott etc. the thought of earning the right in the game to play your fancy stuff seems gone.

as for fsg....well if they seriously cannot or will not pony 50mil for one bloody cm then they might as well join the Everton board in hiding. I said this before the world.cup, there would be serious anger if they failed to buy midfielders this window.

they've made it absolutely clear via reliable journos there's none coming. they need a massive reality check that lfc don't need 1 man who's the best in Europe. they need just 1 good enough to play in the prem at this point.

    ......

my 11 in no particular order who might actually be able to run AND might be arsed to.

    alisson (seriously no option here)
    trent (barely arsed mind)
gomez (at least can run but is poor)
    Robertson
    konate
    Elliott
    nunez
keita (believe.it or not every sub on he's ran a bit for 10mins or so, seems.wanting a shop window)
    salah(barely)
    gakpo

    start to struggle here.
tsimikas. can at least put a challenge in.
bajcetic. too young and too inexperience but a willing runner.
    Phillips will always give 100%

milner. a 30minute player but every sub on I've seen he's ran about and put in a shift. sub 1

    my team

gomez matip*(phillips is tragic) konate trent keita bajectic? Robertson
    salah nunez gakpo

I've already got 2 passengers here. matip and a child.

this tells.me that the end of the road is reached and they simply have to put the hand in the pocket or just keep on informing the obvious.

    things must change...

    1. we cannot defend in a 4. shapes gone, brains are gone.
    2. trent doesn't run back but likes running forward. let him.
    3. there's no strength or a tackle in the middle. it's a huge issue. if you can't run you can be as strong as you like but you won't get close
    4. confidence is shot. Work on it. change things.

We don't know whether it's FSG not backing Klopp or Klopp being stubborn in which players he wants given that the money was there for Tchouameni and he wasn't cheap. All the talk around Bellingham suggests that we have an amount in mind that also is in the £100m range rather than £40-50m range. The money seems to be available for the 'right' players so it comes down to who is deciding on who the right players are and that's unlikely to be the owners.

With the benefit of retrospection we can now all see that the money spent on Gakpo and DN should have been spent on 2 top midfielders.

We're not in a good place right now, just have to ride it out. Will Klopp get who he wants in the Summer? I hope so.

If we'd not spent on Darwin and gakpo who'd we have up front?

Ox on the left, salah central and doak on the right?

We've been criminally undermined bringing players in for years. It's now come to a head.
