i rarely take notice of referee's but as soon as i saw the close up of this one all i could remember was him giving almost every thing against us and just there with this smirk on his face, really annoying bloke in the middle mind...but you know he will offer his report and that will be that.
Swansea deserved the win, they were much the better team. It might have been different if we didn't go down to 10 men so early, but I don't think we can have any real complaints. Consistency is very hard to achieve and changing that whole defence around (even if enforced) didn't help. Of the 4 key decisions, the ref got 3 of them right, despite all of the moaning. The challenge on Amad should have been a penalty, but given that it was minor contact and where it was, I'm not shocked that the ref didn't see it. I'll always credit the players for their work rate and today was no different. Can't knock their commitment.
Only 1 person to blame for this result and it was the inadequate display from the twat in the middle, probably making it all about him in front of a large crowd. He needs to be sacked but as we know the fa are to weak to pull the snot from the winkle
I agree Clocky. The ref was absolutely awful. He got many decisions wrong, and he ought to be carpeted by the EFL and asked to explain why he is such a kernt I watched on the TV and what was evident on TV it just clearly wasn't to him

That was a ****ing shambles of a display from all of the officials, linesmen were a complete waste of time and it seems to be that they are no longer allowed to flag for anything other than what the referee believes. Corners when it was a blatant goal kick, goal kicks when it was a corner. Penalties ignored. I’m fuming! We worked hard mind but having said that you could see for ages that we were leaving players free on their left and that should have been addressed quickly.
Stewart got man handled right in front of us, his shirt nearly pulled off his back and neither the linesman or referee gave it just before they went in to score their 3rd
Just got in from the game. We win that with 11 men, Swansea are such a poor side so it's really got me annoyed how stupid and reckless O Nien was. I said red card the second he made that tackle. And as long as Gooch starts games for Sunderland, we won't be progressing like we want to. The first two goals came down his side, the first one was completely laughable and I don't think anyone will have an excuse for what he did there. The second was down to his usual giving his man tonnes of space to get the cross in. He's ****e, and he needs to go.
Agree in part however Amad didn’t pick up a man once on that side, leaving Gooch to cover two men a lot of the time. It’s not his type of game but when down to 10 you have to get stuck in

Swansea were ****, their supporters were worse. Were they cardboard cutouts? If that ballbag of a ref gives us the blatant penalty then we'd have gone on to smash them. A season's worth of bullshit from the officials in one game made it impossible.
