Great thread as always and we thank you RTB tough one to call especially with this Ref but I’m going for a 2-0 to the lads one from the big fella and I think Roberts is due one COME ON
Thanks again RTB, you are a real star. . Your team selection mirrors exactly the "teams" picked down at the Towers so here's hoping we all got it right, and ends what has been a pretty sobering week with a welcome home win. OaU
Here's a nice stat guys.... On this day 13th Jan 7 years ago.... V's Swansea... Defoe's game by numbers - His passing rate was - 92% accurate. 3 shots on target 3 goals 3 points .....just saying.
Made me grin that about Rigg lads . Didn't even think of school myself until mentioned. Madness , sorry gaffa can't play today studying for my GCSE's
Naff ref, sh*t weather can only mean one thing. 5-2 to the cuddlies. Might be the same score in the 2nd half. If you have the wind just shoot and have a go. LND HT, JC x 2. Were on the up. Get the early goal, a bit wind & rain and they have a long journey home. Might just deflate them. Cheers RTB once again for your time and effort.
Taking the grandson to his second game tomorrow, hope we can play for more than the 45 minutes we did when I took him to the Burnley game. I'm fighting against his dad wanting him to be a mag!
Keep up the good work mate. Hopefully it's a corker tomorrow and he gets the bug. In a way, I got a bit lucky with my son, his first season ticket was the first league one season and that late Gooch header to win it against Charlton in the first game down there had him hooked. I hope he learns to forgive me in the future.
He loved the day out, took him to the fans museum and he got his picture taken with Bobby Kerr and the FA Cup, the look on his face even he saw the size of the ground - "It's massive!" And he couldn't wait to get inside to have a look at the seats and the pitch, we couldn't even have a pint beforehand! He watched the players warm up and got his photo taken with Danny Collins. He couldn't get over the noise when the players came out and when we scored and he was bouncing at half time! Second half was a bit of a let down but the only thing he could compare it to was Hartlepool's ground! No comparison really. Even on the way home he wanted to know when we were going back. Now with this game, he wants to go back to the fans museum
My son loves it in there as well, it's a great place for the kids tbf with the strips to try on and stuff. Never know who might be in as well, Bobby is usually there but we have seen nick pickering, kieron Brady, super Kev and a few others over the last few years.
Might see you in there tomorrow, look out for a good looking bald bloke in a grey jacket with a 7 year old Mind you we only lasted about half an hour last time cos he couldn't wait to get to the ground
I'll keep an eye out mate, there will be 3 of us and the bairn will probably have his Sunderland bobble hat on with a load of safc pin badges in it.
There'll be myself, the grandsons dad and the grandson. Since it's gonna be cold, I'll have an old scarf on.
Another fantastic thread RTB. Thank you for your efforts. Another difficult game Swansea are usually a decent passing side and will pose a threat up top. That said I'm think we have enough to beat these . A tough hard fought home win for me. Keep the faith lads and lasses.
