Great result today, I had a feeling that we could take City and we did! NJ set us up perfectly and to a man, everyone played their part.

I've been saying throughout this rough patch, it takes time, time is passing and we have consistently gotten better with each game.

I know it's not the league but 2 wins against Premier League opposition including a clean sheet against the most consistent EFL cup side today is one hell of a place to build on for the league campaign!

Jump on board the positivity train with me, there is plenty of room, just gotta keep the FAITH!

Sounded quite defensive about previous performances. He can’t genuinely believe that the performances were ok, maybe he has another agenda?

What were you watching? He was hugging and embracing almost every player he went to. Just from what they showed on Sky Sports he was hugging and celebrating with Bazuna, JWP, KWP, Ely, Mara and Djenepo.

Let's wait and see. We've historically put in these types of performances randomly against bigger clubs, let's see if it stays at this level.

I thought we were going places after the Chelsea home game, but that turned out to be the anomaly. Hopefully this is the start of something more sustained and not the outlier.

Yeah it did. They had a lot of the ball at the back. But they didn't do much with it. We used our 28% of the ball effectively.

It was 50 - 50, apart from the time taken to pick the ball out of their net

Now we do but not in that game. From a motivational perspective NJ could stand in there and tell them there's no pressure, its a one-off win or lose you can move on.
Wrong feed you were watching. He was celebrating with everyone, big hugs, smiles across the board. It was almost a contrived show of solidarity but certainly looked like they were a strong unit.

I'm almost as happy with NJ's interview as I am with that result. The man showed ridiculous passion there. A real contrast to most of the mundane slop served up post match.

Back to back wins and a new insight into our boss? Maybe we're not as close to the precipice as I thought.

It was more he was playing the victim. You have just had a great win, brush the critism aside and be really positive. Great result, still reserved on the personality after the interview, too much me me

Probably the most unexpected Saints result I can remember when factoring current form and opposition, I can’t think of one more out of the blue than this?

NJ has to do it in the League for me to properly change my opinion, but full credit for today that is insane.

Strange man, but if he carries this on, all power to him.

It’s a win. A brilliant win. But just as Lyanco isn’t suddenly a great footballer, I’m holding off too much of a love in. We don’t get too high when we win etc etc.

Lyanco was excellent tonight tbf. Controlled his aggression and used it at the right time.
