Snapping at chances been doing it recently... the pressure of competing is new to them... can they handle it?
I had the pleasure of going to the game and then watching it afterwards on the telly. Just a brilliant night. Before the game I was at the dog & parrot and listened to Supermac. He said a few interesting things: 1) in this window we should buy a centre forward to play with his back to goal - to support Isak. 2) move on ASM. He doesn't score or create enough goals. He uses up possession without helping the team and now he's resorted to wearing bandages to give him an excuse. 3) move on Chris Wood, who last week gave out a clear example of his whole career with us - he's simply not a good enough player. Watching the game from the Leazes corner showed me so many examples in the first half of poor finishing. Longstaff needs a goal. Him and Bruno will learn from their chances of last night. BDB's goal was brilliant - my son said he's played more up front lately - and I'm sure we'll see more dances from him after that. It was good to see Isak run with the ball past players. The sky footage, even with cameras going into the dressing room was kind for us. Great team spirit. Shay was on cloud 9, and it was great to hear BDB speak about his game. Dan Ashworth even spoke on the pitch - club's setup looks just awesome.
I was thinking that also. Sky are bought into our journey and are now onside. 100% I suppose it’s mainstream propaganda and they are now thinking we have to toe the line.
Ever wondered what they called ‘hundreds and thousands’ when they were first made and there was only a couple of dozen of them?
Having ventured onto a couple of mackem forums I can report that the saltiness is reaching new levels...even though they claim not to be bothered about us
Heed was at the Leicester match, one of the lads had a tenner on Dan Burn to score the first...at 40-1
