John Percy @JPercyTelegraph · Follow #Wolves have been in talks with #BristolCity over a deal for England under-20 midfielder Alex Scott - as it stands, looking unlikely due to a £25m price tag. Wolves are very keen to sign Scott this month but will move on unless current asking price drops #wwfc 8:53 PM · Jan 10, 2023
Bristol City’s transfer stance revealed as Wolves monitor midfielder https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...stance-revealed-as-wolves-monitor-midfielder/
Nige has been around the block a few times and being under pressure won’t be a new experience for him He also understands what the fans want but can only deliver a limited amount with what he has at his disposal However, given the strength of L1 we don’t really want to be playing roulette there again It could literally take us years to get back to this level and SL needs to understand that loud and clear as gates will drop if we go down and so will revenue
Stoke City consider move for Bristol City captain as he enters final six months of his contract Dan Bentley, whose agreement expires at the end of this season, has lost his No1 spot to Max O'Leary https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-bristol-city-captain-8013595
Personally wouldn’t , not on loan. If we could sell him that’s different, but why loan him, especially to a rival. It may free up wages, but we’d have to bring in another keeper, which would take up any wages we’d save, as Stoke would only pay a portion of his wages. Not an option imo
NP has more than enough at his disposal to avoid relegation. His experience alone was a key factor in him being so sought after by City. I think we all accept we have to sell to buy, we always have. Even under the LJ/MA era we had to sell to spend, it all started with the sale of Kodja. As a club we had never spent, nor received big money until that point. If Scott or Semenyo (my preference of the 2) have to be sold to help us survive, then it’s a no-brainer. If we get relegated one or both will probably leave, and for way less than we’d get now.
And I think we will avoid relegation, if only just. But if the likes of Rotherham and co get relegated and are replaced by more affluent clubs next season we need to seriously strengthen, especially if we lose Scott, Semenyo and possibly others.
What you mean have Fam on the bench getting no game time rather than Martin, no thanks, besides he’d just relegate Bell, I’d rather we give Bell a chance if needs be.
Sam Bell is no where near championship standard-always reminds me of a rabbit caught in the headlights. Need to go out to league one and get proper hard core game time.
If you listen to NP’s latest interview, just a couple of posts up, put on by Wiz (right at the end of the interview), NP doesn’t agree with you.
I know I watched it on twitters-he has to say that when he has bare bones to back up the three amigos
