My cat's litterbox, I've noticed uploads a megabyte of data to the internet every weekend. I'm debating whether to set my firewall to block it, or to let it be Incase it's needed to check for firmware updates or not. If it's just pinging the servers and checking for updates, a megabyte of information seems excessive. I feel like it must be recording how often my cats poop and I'm not sure I want advertisers to have that information. My cats would feel violated. It's useful to me to check the tray level and know when to change it, but I don't know if that information needs to be in the cloud.
