So when NC realised no one was up for a trip to Fleetwood when training on Thursday(although what a weird thing to say as a coach, just signing your own P45) why didn't he tell them they are all dropped not getting paid and play these guys instead, already beaten Spurs in FA cup, And yes I am being serious

I wonder what the pay-off benefits are for a football manager on a 3yr contract who gets sacked after 3-6 months. Because if it’s that good it sounds like a terrific alternative to printing your own money!
Which also brings up the chances of Hamaleinen being done under the trade descriptions act.

It does appear to be the fastest loss of a dressing room ever.

    Just for the record...

Highest number of FA Cup 3rd Round exits...

    51...QPR
    50...Plymouth
    48...Cardiff
    48...Crystal Palace
    47...Charlton

We now have the record all to ourselves...

So, our record (of now 51) is safe for another year

It’s a shame we spent some time in League One otherwise we’d be out of sight with that record

In the interest of analysis recruitment development I thought I’d follow this up with the ‘B’ team …
    2 keepers, 8 defenders, 16 midfielders*, 2 strikers**

2 strikers (or maybe 3)! Our first team is lacking in the striker dept. We can’t score. A top striker would probably have the highest sell-on value (so well worth developing). I get that everyone is looking for them too (but that’s the job of a scouting, analysis and recruitment team that’s bragging about their exploits on video). And maybe a midfielder can develop into a striker (but unlikely they have shown that by the time they are at B level). I’d say that’s a serious failure!

I realise that we do have some players out on loans at the moment from the B’s - for some reason two players aren’t listed in the squads but on loan:
*Charlie Owens (MF) - Colchester (but has been recalled apparently); **Charlie Kelman (ST) is at Orient.

Meanwhile players that do exist in our squads and on loan are:
Alfie Lloyd (ST) - Dorking; Stephen Duke-McKenna (MF) - Orient; Dillon De Silva (MF) - Torquay; Matteo Salaman (K) - Hampton & Richmond; Isaac Pitbaldo - Cheshunt; Ody Alfa (MF in the squad but called a forward in QPR reports - so we’re not even sure) - Aldershot; Stan Flaherty (MF) - Hayes and Yeading and finally Trent Randall (DF) - Leamington.

And out of all the 30 ‘B’ players (I added the two Charlie’s) I could honestly say I could only recollect 6 of them. Wow, that’s poor by any standards, percentages and analysis.

Just for good measure, and to save another post, the under-18s are made up of …
    3 keepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders, 2 strikers
(unless there are some others that the club have also forgotten to put in the squad)

From Giles Coren in The Times today:

"As a Queens Park Rangers fan, one clings to the small things. We were 2-1 down to lowly Fleetwood Town (me neither) in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon, when my son Sam, who was listening to commentary on the QPR live feed, came running into my study shouting, “We did it, Dad! We did it!”

    “We’ve equalised?”

“No. We lost. We’ve now been knocked out in the third round 51 times, which is more than any other club in history!”

Highly possible I’d do no worse over 14 years and possibly earn a shed load more money into the bargain too.
