first and foremost, we all watched football and accepted when the officials got it wrong (they are human and have to make a call in real time), we used to watch for the linesmans flag to see if a player was offside yet now they are told to keep the flag down until 'end of the play' (this results quite often in players making last ditch tackles and potentially dangerous ones).

now we see VAR dragged into it on every occasion around the box, we get many 'there is a VAR check ongoing' yet many a time we have no clue about the apparent incident with quite often it starts with a possible offside, then maybe a hand ball and have even seen it go right back to a foul at the other end of the pitch before the attack started (this all depends on who scored against who) and at times it actually shows some bias towards the big six but now they can hide that behind 'technology'.

it was brought in to level the playing field and has not managed to do that, it was meant for 'clear and obvious errors' to be checked yet a player is shown to be offside when it takes several camera angles to prove it, managers and players ask for it to be used and it needs stopping, if it is going to stay i would suggest a three appeal rule and that is it, most fans would go along with that i feel and it would stop the pointless checks every few minutes...as it stands it is not only pointless but killing the game as we know it.

But the incompetent referees are in every league and to introduce it piece meal like it is is ridiculous.
It’s a joke to run the FA cup with VAR at some grounds and not at others, it becomes a non level playing field.
Either overhaul it or scrap it, it can’t continue like it is.

VAR hasn't changed anything. Its officials who use the thing and even they seem to have different interpretations of the law. Don't blame them like, its changed so much these last few year, you need a fookin masters degree to understand the rules of football, now.

    It's doing wonders for Liverpool.

The VAR official last night lives on Merseyside and his cameras stopped working when Wolves scored a late winner at Anfield.

Corruption has just taken place right in front of our eyes and it will just pass us by like nothing has happened.

and wonders for Newcastle, Salah was offside by a foot, yet Wolves's goal disallowed, plus the Arsenal vs Newcastle farce last week a joke ! it's not VAR it's refs again. so ball to arm/hand is not a penalty as long as it stays like that fair enough.

was it Brian Clough who said “ if you tell me that my player is not interfering with play , then I shall have to ask him why he isn’t”

Actually there are 2 more, my son, working up in Gosforth went into a charity shop and picked them all up for £80, they are at least about that for one.
    Very posh Gosforth!
