And we thought NJ was long ball! Dyche would be awful if it were anything other than a Mark Hughes style contract i.e short term and a multi-million £ bonus if we survive. But i doubt dyche would do that. Id rather go down and rebuild than be stuck with dyche long term - look at Burnley since they did!
I really don’t get this idea that it’s either Jones or Dyche. We’re not so cut away or so poor that we have to plump for a “relegation expert” if we’re to make a change, with a half decent January (if we got Moffi and Alcaraz. Maybe Keane), we can easily still pick a progressive manager, like Brighton did with Di Zerbi, and survive.
I would say the criticism of the football we have played is fair, but the personal insults have been fairly constant since he arrived and are uncalled for
Yep, the personal stuff is very unfair and i'm sure that he's putting his heart and soul into the job. I'd be happy for him if this win is a watershed moment and we beat Citeh and Everton but I think that may be more Forest performances down the road, I hope i'm wrong.
In all likelihood Burnley will be premier league next year and we will be championship. Not entirely sure Kompany would want to come here.
Bravo. I know, I keep harping on about it and I appreciate that posters trolling out negative comments do it because they care about the state of the the Club, but the sooner they realise that they part of the problem and not part of the cure and change their attitude, the sooner we willl get back on track. Some of the comments are ludicrous, bitter and uninformed and I never thought Saints followers would be capable of such bile, it ain't Saintly that's for sure. IMO
Nothing they do would surprise me at this point. Absolute basket case decision makers. Doesn’t seem to be any coherent plan at all
We don't have the type of players to implement Dyche-ball, successfully. I agree, that I'd rather us lose our PL status rather than have him here.
Martinez looks like he is staying in international football, this time Portugal. He is the manager we should have got to replace Ralph. In keeping with the Southampton way... If we are even still persisting with that BS PR...
Absolutely, I don’t think a few people posting on a forum have any input in our situation. How will a few people posting anonymously on a forum can help or hinder us?
I am generalising on Social Media, not this site, which has the fairest fans compared to others. The toxic atmosphere created, especially on mostly unmoderated sites can cause an enormous amount of damage when gullible people believe everything they read.
The reaction from fans in the crowd towards Jones is not from people reading Facebook posts, it’s from watching ****e football. A crowd cannot articulate, it’s basically boo or cheer. we are the customers and it’s his job to please us. He should take the criticism as constructively as possible and make sure that the sides he fields in the future are at least organised and motivated.
Plus he's a Championship manager with even less experience than NJ. I thought that was what a lot of us are upset about.
