Do FSG have any idea what is really going on? We needed a lot of investment in Summer but they seem not to understand what it takes to keep up with the top of the Prem. We have hugely over achieved due to Jurgen Klopp but there are big problems that were not addressed and now we see the result

Did this team really win both cups, finish 2nd in the league by a point and reach the final if the Champions League. Or did I dream it?

Klopp out? Get the fu<k out!

Been like this all season, away against a tricky team who were far more energetic. We were on to lose all day

burnt out , got four seasons worth of effort in two , happened at his previous club .........the high intensity game he uses , requires so much work .....unless you’ve a massive squad rotating all time , inevitably it will burn out ...

    yeah but

    a) he's a forward
    b) he has scored a couple
    c) he can shoot.

it doesn't seem to matter that the circumstance klopp won't play him when it matters.

experience players were flapping about all over with no shape by 75mins.

Brentford deserved their win and it could have been a lot worse.

Salah is still a real worry. Didn’t get into one shooting position all game today. First half was a lot more tucked in than usual as well I guess with them playing a back 5 allowed us to go man for man at the back but most of second half just stuck out on wing doing nothing.

Don’t know why Klopp doesn’t play him central with nunez wide left to at least give us some running down there and let Salah try get into some scoring positions. Still our best finisher

This is what happened in Klopps last season at Dortmund. However, I felt after 2018 he had bought players where we didn’t have to play such high speed pressing compared to his first couple of seasons. We were able to dominate and control games a lot easier

the main player that allowed to do this was Fabinho and he’s a pale shadow of the player he was but is part of that because our midfield is getting more dominated?

you'd swear we didn't COLLECTIVELY know that this was a really tough game for us before kick off.

the comments are still there like :)

    it could have been worse.

the lack of hunger or leadership first half was stark. we drew the second half.

Two men are at fault for this performance and ultimately the season:

    Klopp and Ljinders

they are accountable yes but who are contributing?

I would have to say that trent yesterday never wanted the ball all first half and just layed it off all the time. that's one example of a lack of hunger.

people playing out of position or making silly errors like Elliott are put in that position by klopp in the end.

the lack of change with the cm slot in general is also down to fsg.

in the end there is a distinct lack of hunger, lack of pace and the team isn't all doing the same thing.

So ..... I said I would do the match threads until we played Brentford, or something like that.

I'm passing on the baton, laying down the gauntlet...... whoever chooses to pick it up, better hope that Nunez learns the offside rule in the meantime...... :)

I think @THE FOOL said elsewhere, but i just don't get the thiago hype either. Just a passenger in midfield with the odd flashy pass

as i've said previously i never understood the Thiago transfer due to his age and that just compounded the ageing problem which was already approaching .
Also for someone with his reputation he is so careless with his passing regularly giving the ball away . He just looks good rather than is good .

Couldn’t disagree more on thiago. Guy is absolute quality. Under pressure with the ball, passes through the lines.

He’s just totally diff to midfielders we’ve had the last 7 years.

We’ve been used to midfielders chasing and harrying opposition to win the ball back then they pass it to TAA and Robbo who go attack with the strikers.

On the ball thiago will actually play the ball into the forwards. Problem is that Salah is massively out of form so when he gets it nothing happens.

He’s been our best midfielder for the past 3 years. If you think he’s a passenger would hate to think what Hendo Fabinho Keita ox Milner have been for the last couple years.
