I’m amazed Oscar was unable to slot it past the keeper easily, quite worrying it had to go in how it did really
He’s done very well this season when given the chance. Top scorer in pre season, scored in the mini break too. Now 3 in 4 starts, goal every 135 minutes is a great return. His movement is excellent and I think he’s a good option for us off the bench moving forward for this season at least.
wow… he is such a great communicator. I had my doubts, but I’m firmly behind the gaffa now. EIO up the table we go
For the one or two that were saying they were having trouble logging on to City's i-follow. Just had a thought. Were you still logged on from another laptop / pc / tablet / mobile? I had trouble logging on with my pc, but got straight on when I went to my laptop that I hadn't logged out of since using it last time. I'm guessing i-follow doesn't allow you to be logged on twice (even if the other device isn't active). Might not be this, but just sharing a thought.
Welcome to Springfield park. More mud than away terracing that day. Spoke to a Pie Eater who remembers that game today funnily enough. Rest at ease..they’ll go down. Allam’s GONE.
Fantastic game, I was really quite nervous when Oscar and Christie went off at 2-1 as I thought they were our only route back in if Wigan equalised again, and not only did we hold them at bay, but added two more quality goals. The ball from McLoughlin for our third, and then Slater's run and ball for the fourth were both sensational. Smith's finish for the third was brilliant too from the tight angle, and then the movement to be on hand for the fourth was a real poacher's instinct. Hopefully does his confidence the world of good. Perhaps lost in how the game panned out, but I thought Greaves was sensational, especially in the first 60 minutes. A couple of times he just brushed through the Wigan players and strode up field with the ball in such a confident manner, his goal was well taken, and he really seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds now under Rosenior.
Also on 16, 34 and 60 mins, Ingram booted it long when under pressure and we retained the ball. On 64 mins he booted it long and while we got the first touch on it, believe it went to Wigan's keeper to re-gather. Only four times I can recall in the match where he pinged it long. Just thought I'd track it in case that discussion resurfaces.
Corberan is a quality manager, think it was him and Rosenior I mentioned as wanting us to go after when we ditched Shota.
First goal Oscar has scored that hasn’t been either a header or a snap shot. Misses every single chance where he has a bit of time to take the shot on, including penalties.
