Few things today, ba needs to start games as he’s clearly the best in that position he plays. Michut although a tidy player is not good enough yet and maybe needs mins off the bench when we’re winning. Didn’t want TM as coach but you can’t knock him for where he’s got us, maybe 1 thing he needs to do is be proactive with the subs earlier. I’m positive if he changes it a h/t then we go on to win that game

Definitely mate but hes about 9 stone wet through and hes not on Pritchards level yet so when Pritch is fit he'll probably have to settle for the bench and once Embleton returns who knows.
He really needed to prove a point today and against Wigan and personally I dont see how he improves us

Dan has played a big part recently, I liked our midfield with him and Ba slightly ahead of Michut, they looked to be on the same wavelength and kept a nice shape, this cant be taught imo, its generic, and well worth repeating , I think it should have been our starting line up today tbh, but one step at a time.

I don't think he's there as a replacement for Pritchard. He's more a holding / central midfield playmaker type role.

Same as all these young ones, they need patience and games

Hes meant to be an attacking midfielder mate that plays in a similar role as Pritch, behind Stewart.
Hes too lightweight to play central anyway even if he was a Central midfielder.
He'll be a decent member of our squad between now and May, but with everyone fit I dont see anything yo tell me he should start.

Ba looks the most promising to me. I'd like to see him involved alot more.

    @Phil__Smith
TM said there five or six out there today who have been in bed ill the last couple of days. L09 had it particularly badly & was expected to miss out.

Says it’s credit to his players that they leave disappointed they didn’t win

Pretty sure Ba is being developed more as an attacking midfielder and Michut a more deep lying passing type midfielder.

He clearly needs games to get up to the physicality of the league, but will do a job as all of them will between now and the end of the season

    Absolutely spot on this.

O'Nien is not a left back and we wouldn't usually need him to be. That being said, he was clearly affected by illness today and didn't do himself justice.

Michut doesn't fit into our system. To me, he's a playmaker in a midfield 3. He's not someone who has the energy or physicality for a midfield 2. Maybe we look more at a midfield 3 next season post Pritchard and Diallo, but he's not an immediate option.

Michut is is not an attacking midfielder in my eyes, more of an Evans type than a Pritchard, but you are right to say we need a proven replacement for Evans if we are to make the play-offs this season. If we can keep the rest of the squad together and add a couple of strikers I cant see us not being in the top six, but its a tall ask. The club has a plan and I don't mind another season in the Championship , as long as we keep on building the way we have recently.

Ba is better when given a license to roam as he doesnt have the positional sense yet to playing the holding role. Michut is at his best deeper getting on the ball and keep things ticking over.

I hope we sign another CDM as I do think Michut would struggle if asked to play week in week out

Fantastic result and festive period generally considering the schedule, 2 away games meaning they had to stay away from home, the injuries we now have mounting up and the illness they had.

    No complaints here at all.

Agreed, and hats off to Onien for playing through illness so im def not having a go at him as a LB. In fact its more a compliment about how well he's done as a CB

Yes I was wondering if the 3 nights away from home could have been detrimental.

I agree mate. It's who to play and who to rest in defence that is more of a headache. With so many injuries, we might have to play some who I would have preferred to have rested.

I try too play like Ronaldo when I'm on the field with my lads unfortunately I make Jeff Whitley look decent.
Hes to young and raw for me, I'd like to see him back here in about 2 years but right now I dont want to see him in our starting lineup trying to learn a trade.

He’s not learning a trade, he isn’t an attacking midfielder.
