Thanks DMD, sad news, one of our unsung hero's from the 1967 league cup winning and 3rd division title winning side... RIP Keith
Crystal Palace are mourning the loss of former goalkeeper John Jackson, who has passed away at the age of 80. A decent goalie if memory serves me well. RIP
Anita Pointer, a member of Grammy-winning group the Pointer Sisters - whose hits included I'm So Excited and Jump (For My Love) - has died of cancer aged 74. Her publicist Roger Neal said she died surrounded by her family at her Beverly Hills home on Saturday. RIP
So sad so many of these players I first saw as a schoolboy are passing away now. One of our sports teachers was Alan Pinkney who played for Palace but taught at our school in the summer term. He always said what a great keeper Jackson was and he certainly kept Palace up in their 1st season in the top division. Never played for England although he was good enough. RIP...
RIP to Jenny Ferguson, one of my oldest mates wife ! She was diagnosed with Terminal cancer 4 months ago, having never smoked in her life. He flew her back to New Zealand , where she was originally from 3 weeks ago, and she passed this morning surrounded by her family and friends. Only 48, life can be a **** alot of the time !
Looking at that image certainly paints a picture of the notables that passed away in 22. I hadn’t realised there were so many.
My deepest sympathy to and your mate and their family Hammersmith. So sad when someone so young passes...RIP.
So amazing that she got to go home and leave with family, friends and loved ones - well done to Mr Ferguson to make sure it happened for her and everyone who knew and loved her at home. Never easy seeing someone let life slip away, but so young is a tragedy really. RIP Jenny
