Both national teams are of a similar standard.

Ronaldo was Portugal's best player at the World Cup, Messi was Argentina's best player at the world cup, good enough to be nominated for player of the tournament! And both players were systematically man marked every game!

They are both fantastic players. Personally, I think that Messi is greater, as he has produced more in the big games, but I accept people have different opinions on their players

 

This, i don't get why everyone tries to claim Messi was bad at the world cup, he was brilliant and beyond unlucky not to have scored, how many times he hit the post i don't know.
