I know some people won't like me making an article about an ex-player, saying they don't care as he no longer plays for us etc, but it's a long, boring afternoon and I like to see Man Utd old boys doing well. please log in to view this image Real Madrid beat Osasuna 7-1 with a hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo and goals from Gonzalo Higuain, Pepe and a brace from substitute Karim Benzema on Sunday. The result puts Madrid four points ahead of Barcelona at the top of La Liga ahead of the Catalan club's match on Sunday evening against Athletic Bilbao. Osasuna, who equalised the game at 1-1 with a goal by Ibrahima Balde, had Eneko Satrustegui sent-off with following yellow cards in the 54th minute with the score already at 5-1. Osasuna arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu with nine players out injured but unbeaten in three games and in high spirits after beating Levante 2-0 last weekend to knock them of the top of the league. The heavy defeat today will bring back fresh memories of the 8-0 defeat they received from Barcelona in mid-September. Ronaldo's hat-trick puts him level with Lionel Messi on 13 league goals and just before kick-off he offered up the European Golden Boot he has recently won to all Madrid fans in homage of his goalscoring exploits last season. For twenty minutes it looked as if an organised Osasuna team may cause the leaders some problems but on 22 minutes Ronaldo was alert to head home a perfectly floated cross from Angel di Maria to open the floodgates. Ronaldo hit a penalty after Satrustegui's sending-off on 54 minutes and completed his hat-trick three minutes later with a second header. Ronaldo has now scored 79 goals in in 74 La Liga appearances and 103 goals in 106 games overall for Real Madrid.
Boy is doing good although I'd like us to steal some of Madrid's gems. They keep on shopping from us and we never buy from them.
A golden boot he won because Mourinho made his golden boot a team mission at the end of last season. Bit petty really
Ronaldo's record is incrediable, he's simply a goalscoring machine. Going to start a debate here and say he's the best ever player to play in the prem.
This? Considering Madrid have already made a lot more than 80m in shirt sales off of Ronaldo, and he's scpred 103 goals in 106 games, you should have either held on to him, or sold him for alot more. But eh, isnt hindsight a brilliant thing. And as for being the best player ever in the Prem, i would agree that its out of him and henry, but i think Ronaldo was more effective as he truly is a machine. Fast, Strong, Perfect header of the ball, great finisher, good at free kicks, amazing at penaltys, can beat his man and i feel his passing is incrediably underrated.
Maybe if the last time you watched him was when he played for man united, but at Real Madrid he passes far more, not to mention he's also stopped divining compared to what he used to do. He's Matured alot.
attempting to gain insight into a question or situation by way of an occultic standardized process or ritual?
How can people be mentioning Bergkamp and not Cantona? Cantona for me is the greatest player to ever play in this league, on an individual level he was untouchable.
Shearer was the best striker to play in the premership, Ronaldo's 2-3 seasons to Shearers career in there, no comparison. but hey, Ronaldo played for United, why not bask in reflected glory, he only became the machine he is since joining Madrid Remember?
This player should not even be mentioned in any way alongside Tevez, as I know the above is referring to me, but don't let your lack of any intelligence whatsoever get in the way of your little dig. Ronaldo was a superb player who did everything in his powers to win matches and score goals when he was at United and left with everyone's blessing to his dream club. Tevez, conversely, is a horrible piece of ****e. If your little brain can't function sufficiently enough to put into context what I said and why I said it about Tevez on your previous post then there is very little hope for you.
He has 2 goals so far tonight for Portugal. That take him to 32 goals in 87 games for Portugal so far. Not bad considering it's a pretty average Portuguese side.
