Morning chaps. Good to see the jumps really swinging into top gear. Two winners at Cork which I backed yesterday evening as soon as Bet365 opened their markets. Unfortunately their prices have contracted since then but if you fancy a nice double...

1.40 Sword of Destiny (backed 11/10)
Noel Meade's horses in terrific form. Another Davy Russell / Gigginstown House winner.

    3.20 First Lieutenant (backed 11/8)
There is a logical argument to suggest De Valira shall upload form from the last time when he prevailed at levels in a photo. De Valira is now 3lbs better off today so it would seem he should win again. I don't think Davy Russell will allow that to happen today though. First Lieutenant will be ridden to win today and won't be idling in front today. And yet another Davy Russell / Gigginstown House winner.

It's been some weekend for them so far and I expect more of the same today.

    Good luck all!

Takar can go real close here at Leopardstown if he comes on for debut. Tired late last time.

    <cheers> RV

I like Northern Rocked at 9/2 in the 1.50. I fancy Pat Smullen to get one on board and Weld is mob-handed with 4 of the 9 runners. Ran a good solid race last time and can be rewarded for consistency.

    Double Up Beefy! Congrats. <cheers>

First Lieutenant won easy enough. More workmanlike than impressive but i don't think he's ever going to be one to win doing handsprings. Certainly back on track for the RSA, assuming that is where he goes.

Interesting to see Unaccompanied out on the flat - can surely only be a pipe-opener though?

McCoy has picked up a 5 day ban at Ffos Las. Anyone else think that this might be the catalyst that sets of the reaction?

Something will have to give Zen, there'll be no jockeys left to ride soon.

Cheers guys! Nice to get a wee double up, hope a few followed suit! It tops of a nice wee weekend's punting and I'm grateful to Davy Russell / Gigginstown for three of them and it could a been four if I'd a held my gut instinct and went for Quito yesterday.

First Lieutenant never looks like he's doing much, but I think he's the sort of jump horse whose 'dossing' in front and has more left in the tank if needed. Should prove a force RSA or dare I say the Arkle may not be out of the equation either. One to follow that's for sure.

Really like the look of RISING WIND in the last at Leopardstown amazed 8/1 is available.

Well done on the double beeforsalmon. You have been banging in the winners for fun lately and have been watching your sensible approach of backing only confident selections <cheers>

RV it's doesn't always work I can assure you! Anyway you don't neglect on providing your fair share of winners and yours are usually decent prices. I should have listened to your St Nic advise last when you marked my card on Sarafina and Goldi!

The best advise I (try) to stick to is to reduce the number of horses you fancy but it gets hard if your first one or two win as it's human nature to get the 'scattergun' approach going once you're winning, which is where it usually goes wrong! I can also assue you of that too <laugh>

I'm no genius that's for sure but tend to do ok in the smaller, better class fields in Irish jump races. A bit like my name sake one could say <laugh>
