Klopp would have made Kuyt into a bigger legend than he already is. With Klopps guidance Kuyt would have made Salah blush.

    ehhhhhh nah.

Rafa got massive amount out of a hard working but dead slow player. hugely productive player in assists and goals for what he did and how he locked that right wing down defensively.

but **** me have to seen salahs numbers

Loving the Gakpo signing seems to have a great mentality. Lot of left side players though.

Well, jota has played right side (though I'm not a fan) and Jota and nunez would be the central options really.

3 into 1 with gakpo, Diaz and carvalho says something to me though. I think we will be seeing the kid loaned soon. somethings not really sticking yet for klopp I think.

I reckon klopp would have made a CM out of kuyt. Similar to Gini, just go central and press like ****, don’t stop running

I don’t think Carvahlo was bought for now though. Given he was very much a 10 for Fulham or wider in a 4231 we don’t really have either of those positions and need to work out if he’s an 8 or a wide forward in our team.

He’s a young kid that hasn’t played in prem and come into a team in some average form. He’s popped up with couple important goals so far which is good though.

Could be here 10 years so no need to fret over first 6 months. Let klopp and the coaches get hold of him tactically, it can take time to learn our style and the position.

it'll be interesting to see what klopp can do with him cos he's tried him and took him out so what it is I don't know but there's something not clicking yet for carvalho.

it's one of those that yes he's young but there's something klopp wants him to be doing that he's not getting to just yet.

He's tried him in Midfield, but he's better further forward and we've got plenty of forward talent already (which makes Gakpo all the more confusing).

He's not ready for the first team yet, but I have more long term hope for him than I do, say, Jones.

Well Jones had to move back cos he's not got the pace but that lad also hasn't quite seen the penny drop either. he's actually a dribbler and set peice type but he wouldn't get to take a set piece in our side and he holds the ball too much as a cm.

Jones v carvalho, possibly the same issues as cos. Need to work the patterns of play, do the dirty work and lock down their sides tactically.

Carvalho isn't a CM and i seriously doubt he will ever be ( a decent) one .

    quite probably.

I'd suggest Elliott is very similar.

Carvahlo is very good with the ball at his feet. He’s probably up there with diaz in terms of skill and ability to drift past people. Just needs time to work on things. No need to rush him

Speaking of good dribblers... I'm disappointed nothing ever came of Jordan Ibe, I remember him bursting on the scene maybe as a 17 year old or there abouts... Looked like he maybe had greater potential than even Sterling who was the wonderkid at the time.

He was such a fast skillful dribbler... But always dribbled himself into a corner with no way out. Feel like with the right manager he could have been something special rather than a wasted talent.

Personally would like to see Diaz try attacking midfield behind Nunez. He drifts all over the pitch anyway, a fantastic dribbler and eye for a pass.

    Salah--------Diaz-------Gakpo
    ‐--------------Nunez

suso was miles better than pacheco.

that lad was genuinely 2 footed.

he made.it in his own fashion

they all have to work hard and some just didn't and some peaked early.

Had some really bad mental issues recently so seems like the lack of development was more mental than potential.

I remember when he played a few games the obvious comparisons with sterling were being made and were fair at the time. I always remember saying he was a very natural striker of a ball as well, compared to sterling.

well this one is factually wrong.

legally it has to read talks with Brighton not the player, just to be as pedantic as possible.... after all people would miss that if I didn't. apparently
