I don’t think we’ve done okay myself. On another day we’d be 4-0 down, Meslier and Grealish having a mare have kept it at 1-0 1 shot not on target for us. Genuine question, do you think we’ve done okay as it’s only 1-0? That question is to anyone that feels that first half was okay
City have been really good. It highlights the deficiencies in us and the gulf in class. We don’t have a player on the pitch that would make their squad. Our centre halves and centre mids just look so slow and ponderous, when we do get the ball the passing is imprecise. We’ve battled and we look well organised, but every cross finds a city player - part their quality and movement, part our individuals being out gunned. For all they’re highlighting meslier, personally I thought he would expect to make every save he did make and I thought he could have done better with the goal.
Anyone that think we have been decent need some new glasses. We have been poor in defence and terrible in attack. We not being 5-6 down is all down to luck and poor finish from Man C and not because we have played well. Let us just hope we can do better in the second half. It's a training game for them they so far ahead of us. There is no energy from us, We panic every time we get possession, slow in transition, sloppy passing to me that's not very good regardless of who we playing.
