The club have made the right move by refusing to allow Leicester to talk to NP. This will show loyalty from the club towards him, something which we knoe he likes. The majority of the supporters want him to stay, his football and persona may not be the most inspiring but he's got this club back on its feet after the shambles of the later stages of the previous regime and I think this appreciation is reflected among the great majority of the supporters. It reflects well on the job that Pearson has done/is doing that a rival club would show interest him. Therefore he can't be that bad a manger can he TWF? What reassures me about all this is that NP has built his own team and set about achieving a play off place/promotion with this team, why on earth would he want to leave before he hasn't completed something that he has set out to do? All this work he's done over the last 12 months would be for nothing. What interests me is if you look at the premier league managers currently in danger of losing their jobs (McCarthy, Coyle, maybe even Steve Kean) would they be attracted to the job? However I expect NP to remain at the Tigers and continue to work and hopefully achieve something with this squad he has built.
Mike Burgess quotes so far: “Saw him on train from Sheffield to London yesterday with another man clutching what looked like legal documentation (contract stuff etc). Also saw Leicester reps getting on at Leicester and shaking his hands. Sad but true.” “Roy Keane in talks to replace Nigel. You heard it here first. “ “He is on his way to you without a doubt. He went to London on Friday to put into place what he wants because they knew we would turn down an approach. Nigel will now resign. Compo will be negotiated and Nigel will sign quickly as all his demands were sorted on friday. “ You seem to think you know things the rest of us don’t, so where’s your proof? If you have none then you’re just another pathetic attention seeker and you’ll come out of this looking like a complete pratt.
Fair enough if it's your opinion, just try and put it across in a less provocative manner then you won't be accused of trying to wind other posters up. Simples.
DESPERATE? Oh I think Lesteristan fans own the rights to DESPERATE!! You are the ones who are denying EVERYTHING Nigel Pearson has said in the press, not us.
Many many LcFc supporters were singing the praises that you got shut of 'boring' Nigel Pearson .. And trying to rub it in everyone's face how you had got the 'great sven' as manager.. So your the idiot mr fox but who cares ? Couldn't give a **** what you say because there's only one Nigel Pearson and he ain't going back to your club..... It's keano or Ian Dowie for you....
He spent 2 years here won League 1 and finished 5th What ever you think Nigel does have a affiliation with the club. If any of the Hull fans came to our place last season and stayed until the end when Nigel came over the the fans you could clearly see he still have an affiliation. He was very successful here and he was loved by the fans are the fans no matter what happens in the coming days and weeks will always be grateful for what Nigel did for us when we was at our lowest point in our history in league 1, he put pride back in the club and if it wasnt for Nigels hard work then i very much doubt we would have the owners we have now
No one was happy Nigel left, we was all devastated at first and couldnt believe it. The fans loved Nigel
Bollocks. Posts on here and other boards say your opinion isn't 100% representative of Leicester fans (who rapidly became a laughing stock, and have headed downhill in credibility since)
whoever gets the job will have the primadona players to deal with. It ll take a stack of cash to attract anyone to a job like that and Nigel has just gone through the worst of that
Of course you haven't. Nobody on your two main messageboards has suggested Nigel Pearson will now resign, have they? Are you thick?
If Nigel leaves you will be banging saying he is crap and we are welcome to him Just because people say something dont mean they mean it No one want Nigel to go, but if he is the man Top wants then i dont think we will give up easily
Did you come to the game at our place last season. If you did you would of seen Nigel at full time come over to the fans
No we won't and that's difference between our two clubs. We appreciate Nigel Pearson, you don't. Go and read your own messageboard.
PRICELESS. You now claim to know the inner heart and mind of every Leicester fan, even the ones that listed what they felt where his many faults.
Whether you like it or not, Nigel doesn't care what the anyone thinks of him and this came through in his interview yesterday. Adam will be the man who keeps Nige in Hull. The relationship they have is so strong and if Nigel wanted out then I'm almost certain that Adam would have allowed him to speak to Leicester. Mainly because of the huge respect that they have for each other. But now the approach has been rejected, it is not in Nige's character to 'kick up a fuss', so I think that will be the end of the matter. Nigel's main characteristic is his loyalty and resigning is the complete opposite of this. He also said that he does not want what he said to be turned around, much like 95% of the Leicester fans have done!
