Adel can be his own worst enemy and has only himself to blame for the fall in his value both to us and potential buyers. I feel more sorry for someone like Derry who always gives his all and probably doesn't fit into a team without Adel.
Don;t worry about Adel. Class always shines through - he'll have a number of top clubs wanting him. But when we've lost him and become another boring Stoke, Bolton or Wigan, don't come crying here that we're lacking flair.
Hurts me to say it after how he shone last season, but Adel's been holding us back in the Prem. He needs a period of inward reflection...
Boring stoke!!!! Playing in Europe and spending big in the transfer market! God forbid that happens to us. This Ranger77 guy really needs to do his homework before making ridiculous posts!!
Is it time to concede a little to the few who said pre-season that he might not cut it in the Prem? I remember clearly those being chopped down and called all sorts of amusing names. The lad's head ain't right. There's definitely sumat missing up top.
There's no polite way of saying this but he just seems to be a wee bit thick. We all know someone who ain't the sharpest tool in the box. A sandwich short the picnic. His folks and mentors not to mention Nelly and Curley must be at their wits end at this stage trying to get through his thick skull. I don't think its simple immaturity. He's just a bit challenged so to speak and unfortunately there's not a damn thing on earth anyone can do to help him. Frustrating is not the word.
There's some truth in that Swords, but, as I've said a lot recently, there are other reasons too. Gazza was thick as two short planks, in fact, one more brain cell and he'd be a plant, but **** me could he play!! Adel has zero confidence and that has nothing to do with his IQ!
Ealing, welcome mate! Are you the 'Ealing Common', 'Ealing'? Don't entirely agree with your view of Taraabt but welcome back to intelligent debate. I hope he makes it back and shines. Good for him, good for the team and good for the fans too.
Hi Ranger, yes I was on 606 for ages. I gave up on the message boards as I was getting addicted and also couldn't take the absolute s..te from a lot of the posters. And anyway, everything I wanted to say was being said anyway on this board, so there didn't seem much point. But, it seemed to me that Taraabt's almost malign influence on the team had been pivotal in all that has been wrong with QPR this season and then it was so blindingly obvious that when he wasn't playing that we are a much better team. I used to say it a lot on 606 that at our level it's the team that matters and what we've seen over the last match and a half is a proper, hard working, honest team that has every chance of survival. We don't have stellar players, we have to rely on NW's strengths which is man management, team spirit and never say die. Luckily now, we have a fair modicum of skill as well. I really don't see how Taarabt can possibly fit in. I think he's devisive and effects the team spirit. We're playing with 10 men most of the time, he's had the thick end of 9 games to prove he can cut it and he can't. When January comes, there's money available to build a proper NW team. We have 25 in the squad. Presumably Puncheon and Fitz Hall will be replaced, but if they bring in three or four, then others have to drop out and if they can get a few million for Taraabt then fair enough. I can't see how or where Taarabt has a place in this team and sometimes you just have to say farewell and do it somewhere else, if you can. Unless he's careful it'll be in the french second division.
