Merry Christmas to Sunderland fans far and wide. Christmas in our house is pretty quiet this year but happy to have my son and his girlfriend visiting. Walked the dog ( my son’s dog lol, as he’s still asleep) it is freezing here in North Carolina -4C so having coffee to warm up and will be following it with a Bucks Fizz or 2 while I make the dinner. Looking forward to visiting South Shields again mid January, and catching a few games. Enjoy your day everyone.
Merry Christmas everyone hope youve all had a great day Buzzing for my 1st boxing day game in years tomorrow
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you all had a great day, and i hope we all have an even better one tomorrow by getting all 3 points. Ha’way the Lads
Had a pint of coffee & vanilla stout yesterday to finish off, v nice. Been zonked all day today, hardly ever drink now so, christmas eve, etc We took my brothers dog with us and learnt that people in pubs tend to fall into one of 2 categories, dog ignorers, or dog loving fanatics. Oddies was great!
The day is drawing to an end and it's been a belter. Mam and dad came and spent most of the day here and we ended up stringing what should have been a 'brunch' out until mid afternoon. It was worth it to see Mam playing with Lilly and dad spending time with Owen and just being relaxed and happy. Me and dad meeting up with my Auntie, cousin and her family tomorrow for the football while mam and my good lady relax at home. Not to sure how it all came together so well this year, but like most things since we moved home it just worked.
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you've had a great day. Me and Mrs Spikey had a lovely dinner at our son and fiancé's and our beautiful 2 year old granddaughter brought home the real joy of Christmas. Chilling now with a 12 year old Bunnahabhain, cheese and biscuits to soak it up. All the best to Sunderland supporters near and far.
First Christmas day over with, had son and his girlfriend over, they went about 5pm, and just dropped daughter off after her 12 hour shift in a care home. Now, finally, settled for the night, and about to have first drink of the day. A few Kronenberg, and a couple of nice single malts....an Aberlour 12 and maybe a Glenmorangie. Then do it all again tomorrow for my daughter and her boyfriend. Merry Christmas to you all, hope you all had the best of days. Just need 3 points tomorrow now to round it off.
I hope there is a place reserved in Hell for the loon that decided that the fire engine and accessories that my sister got for my son when he was two needed to be held to the weapons-grade cardboard using screws with a microscopic driver slot and Chobham armour plate backing bars. Nineteen years later and I can still remember looking through the Christmas crackers hoping there was one with a glasses repair kit in! Bloody good job we bought two boxes, coz it was the 5th cracker in the second box that we struck gold. And don't get me started on about whoever decided that the battery cover on kids' toys, or anything that may be taken into the same county as a child, must be secured with the smallest screw imaginable. One that will immediately fall out and disappear into even a laminate floor, only to be found again six days later when you are walking around barefooted!
Masochists mate....that's who designs them. Top tip....look for small parts with a torch, even in daylight. I do scale models...trust me, it works.
Sadists more like! I've tried torches, I've tried the old touchy-feely approach and I've even tried magnet trawling. I'm telling you, there must have been a bloody space-time anomaly centred about my last house. Things like those little screws, pens and keys used to disappear only to reappear days later in locations already searched by me and, more importantly, by Mrs Draig! One day I even watched as my bank cards disappeared out of my wallet - although that was my 18 month old son feeding them through the ventilation slots in the bottom of the central heating boiler so I'm not sure that counts!
just got back in from my daughters family, her bull dog wouldn't put me down, had at least three full face washes, knackered me chasing round the garden with him doing zoomies, missed the match but had a great day son and his family came later, its good to be home in England hoping RTB puts the full match up it will round the day off
when he finally settled down he gave me the cuddles, sticks his head under my arm then lets off the carpet slipper farts, little bugger
