Sinik has delivered some good quality crosses into the box. He strikes me as the sort of player that needs regular game time.
I think after January we will see the best of him, Ros seems to be trying to build a very solid defensive foundation to build on which is why I feel we are struggling to break down teams, but for him to begin to move forward we do really need that protector in front of the back 4. Ashbee esque so we can stop having to play midfielders out wide
I guess but he is a natural centre half. One who’s probably better with the ball than he is actual defending so will likely be long term there under Ros. We need a watered down Rodri type for his style of play. Seri has the passes but not the destructive element
Tbh i personally think he is a better defensive midfielder then he is a centre back, when he has performed there previously, by and large he has been excellent, and our good form usually coincides with him playing there tbf. I k ow his supposed better position is at centre back but not convinced myself, give him a go I say
I know I'm much more optimistic than most about our new style of play so this will be no surprise, but I think quality attackers like Allahyar will benefit more than most, he's going to get more space in attack because we do break up the pitch effectively having drawn in pressing attackers and beaten their press. At times we will lose the ball and be in trouble, but I really do think it's only going to make it easier for attackers to flourish, and I think if we'd had some quality attackers available over the last few weeks we'd have won some of these games we've drawn.
It's about building partnerships on the field, when Fleming and KLP played together you could see having been together in the Ủ'23's it worked. I think given a bit of time a similar partnership can develop with Christie and Allahyar, quite an exciting prospect in my eyes.
When Alfie Jones was interviewed (last season I think) he said his favourite position was Centre Half.
