Now we know we can potentially give anyone a game, anyone think we might get past the 3rd round of the fa cup this year?

FA Cup? I'm in a good place re Warnock at the moment. Don't make me speculate on what he will say about the competition after he fields the subs in the 3rd round......

After the Rochdale match Warnock said he would be giving the FA Cup a go this season, we'll find out in January. Be just our luck we'll get Man City away...

So well hopefully go through then! Thinking about it, our dismal cup showing has become a but of a tradition, may be a shame to lose it

I'd still rather have 17th place than a Cup this season, just couldn't hack the obscurity of the Championship again after tasting the Premiership...

Agree...realistically...a cup run will only end in defeat at some point, so surely just focus on the league...and anyway, in my lifetime, we've never really done anything in any of the cups...so why get hopes up...but that might just be the voice of a disappointed man in his mid-20's whose never really seen a good cup run in the FA cup. Would be great to see one day.

Can't really see NW fielding anything other than a weakened team in 3rd round, so don't think we'll be getting through if we draw anyone from PL or Championship - any teams below that, and we may scrape a win, but that'll be as far as the run will go - and I don't think many of us would be bothered with that if, come the end of the season, we maintain our PL status - surely that is a far greater prize for our club.

Staying in the Premier League is the minimum we need to achieve this year. If that's at the expense of a cup run, then so be it.

That having been said, I'm one of the few in the country that still feels the FA Cup is the best competition in the world, and I'd love a decent cup run, get some momentum rather than some weekends off.

I love the FA Cup, personally I think it still is the best competition in the world, IMO all clubs should take it seriously, it still is a Saturday 3pm kick off for most so there's no excuse.

warnock did say he would like to give the fa cup a go so i think he will play a strong side but its not our strongest competition, but would be nice just to get through to the next round but can't remember when we did.
