Looking at the fixtures coming up with none of them easy, I checked out the teams around us pleased to see they all have some tough games too. Wolves will be the team to watch as they have a new top manager and seemingly a war chest for January. i for some reason am feeling a lot more confident than a few weeks ago. I see the injury list easing, Im hoping our defensive frailties have been beefed up and our scoring boots back on. I see some of last seasons kids who sat on the bench now turning out to be solid options, so a deeper squad depth. Also confident if a new LB and striker coming in. I have not bothered factoring Bamford into this either so if he ever does get back to his best we have another option I could be mad too
Think Wolves will be fine as they have a lot of quality and as you say will strengthen in January. Ideally we need Forest and Bournemouth to take up two of the relegation places, but if they don't there will be a lot of teams fighting it out at the bottom. Going to be very interesting and way more exciting than the title race, CL qualification bollocks.
Apparently Lopetegui, has given the board a list of 6 players he wants and is hopeful of getting most of them in January.
Forshaw was ****e on Friday. He has become the new ray wilkins aka the crab. Never beats a man or has a shot on target. In fact rarely does anything positive. Passes sideways at every opportunity and looks happy to get rid of the ball. So just to sum up he is shyte.
Maybe someone should tell Forshaw that as our defenders are crap to stop giving the ball back to them.
I thought I’d included these Vic or Angus normally do My typing for me and most of my thinking too but they’re away at the moment. Top secret stuff, multiple players moving in and out in next month. Don’t mention it to doc though or he won’t sleep for the month
Great final, great football but now going to pull down the stadiums and the hotels, so no legacy which is always one of the main drivers of giving a country the World Cup.. never mind though lots of peeps made lots of cash especially the pundit hypocrites on the BBC and ITV Why the fk the media are applauding Southgate deciding to keep his job is beyond me. The England team have gone backwards since the Euros and never mind those who say Southgate has won more games and qualified for more comps than any other manager, stats can also hurt. We play more games these days, more comps these days, more friendlies these days. Plus he has at his disposal probably the best squad and contrived to mess up against a poor French team depleted by injuries. Another stat many won’t like is that Southgate's England has only one a couple of games against top ranked teams and why we stand no chance of ever winning anything
Not all the stadiums are ciming down. One is having the top tier removed and another is going to have various uses including a health centre. The one built with shipping containers will be put back to use. One stadium is being dismantled and shipped to Mexico for the next world cup.
So we played 5 times in the World Cup and only got 1 yellow card, surely that means we coasted or does it mean we bust a gut for the cause. If Leeds played 4 games on the bounce without a booking would you be pleased? Last season we got 79 bookings and this season so far we have 27 bookings from 14 games. So without getting a card in 4 England games and getting only 1 booking in the last game seems to suggest coasting to me
Yes I’d be pleased, I look at Firpo and how many times he received a booking within the first ten minutes then being under pressure for the remainder of the game. England deserve more credit mate, they got beat by a team who only lost the final on penalties and a different ref on a different day or VAR doing their job we’d have been through. I honestly feel if that was Leeds getting beat in that manner you’d take a different approach
So in four years you can claim you win this one as well as the last six or seven based on that surely Saudi Arabia won it as well having beaten Argentina
