A total made up story about the Saudis dumping Spewcaslte. They'll make a Son the CEO of some bullshit made up PLC then just say he owns Man U.

If the Saudis are actually interested, then they will certainly perform some slight of hand along the lines you mention.. Not that it's really necessary to do much to get round the venal oafs at the Premier League mind.

But any such move would still enrage the half wits up there, as it will imply a diluting of the commitment to the nashun, meaning that they just might not, in the next couple of years, win the Euros, The Premier League, The Champions League, The Golden Award at Montreaux and First Prize at the West Allotment Leek Show.

And they will scweam and scweam.

If they buy Man Utd they are certainly going to get the lions share of investment of the two!

The saudis have enough that they could finance to be in the top 6 in this country like.

Suppose the easy option is PIF "sell" their shares to Ruben and the other bloke then are free to buy Man Utd.

Liverpool will be bought by Saudi Investors

Obviously PIF would help provide finance for the both deal as they did for Chelsea's takeover, thus gaining a foothold in 4 premier league teams whilst not breaking any rules on ownership

The Mags claimed all of Gascoigne's England performances as theirs.

Gascoigne was born and raised in Gateshead.

    He won nothing with Newcastle.

IIRC he didn't play for England until he left Newcastle.

He loves Newcastle so much he lives in Dorset.

Probably to get away from old haunts and hangers on. So they're claiming an International tournament in 1990 was partly from them?

And not all famous Geordies leave the North East, Sting still lives in the North East....

I was there too. Lucky break with a ticket among the heathens. Great memory, that . Especially as the ground started to empty almost immediately!

They love to "claim" anyone of anything that gets them attention. Building a statue of Bobby Robson when he managed them for a handful of years at the end of his career (before getting sacked) is a perfect example of this. They claimed the grief linked to Gary Speed's tragic death. Their obsession with signing "Boyhood Newcastle fans" is beyond stalker levels

This is the same Newcastle daft boyhood Shearer who’s first ever game he attended (his words) was against QPR Keegans first game, when they all came out the woodwork, and he was ELEVEN, can’t be very much of a boyhood fan when it takes you ELEVEN years to see your LOCAL heroes

So they’ve won their first trophy. A 2 team tournament in Saudi. ( Saudis were probably instructed to lose). Fan site “ watch the incredible scenes “.
A toon relative ( who comes up with some strange information so this might be rubbish). reckons they want to make it an annual cup with more teams - including Sunderland and Boro . My god , if so , please let us tell them to stick it

I once made sure a young lad at our match put on the shirt he’d been given, so it couldn’t be nicked off him.
