I think you can go back to the previous generation with Ronaldo and Messi. Both rated amongst the best for many years and a long list of credits to their names... but I think the difference is Ronaldo was too show boaty. He probably could have been better than Messi but whereas Messi would put his head down and "do", Ronaldo would do stopovers and lose the ball. Ronaldo cared more about his ego than doing the deed and I think that's why Messi is just that little step above Ronaldo in most people's eyes. Neymar following Ronaldo path not the Messi path. Even with the diving that Ronaldo did so much of in his youth.
This Maroc v Spain game is interesting,no gimme for the Spanish. Morocco have only conceded one goal so far,an own goal v Canada. Tough one to call
I have not watched any matches, but going into the tournament I thought Spain would be in the final. Shows you how much I know about football.
All these slow-stutter run ups for Pens... Dogshit Just ****ing smack it in the back of the net, do a Shearer smash it top corner.
Supposedly joining us alongside Gakpo, Bellingham, Rice, and Mount in January. I expect our performances to improve with those reinforcements.
Didn't think they were allowed to do the stuttering run ups any more, certainly not allowed to stop as done seem to be doing. Keeper getting pulled up for coming off the line after the taker stutters their run up is a joke too.
What's he gonna do when nobody wants him any more? I suppose being fabulously wealthy will just have to do.
£200m from Saudi on the table. Take it, do a couple years and retire with more money than could ever need.
