Hopefully not. My take on he French, from watching the game with Poland, is that they are vulnerable defensively in the wide positions. A few times in the first half, when Poland were in the ascendancy, they worked some really good moves around the full backs, particularly on the right back. Foden and Shaw could cause some real damage there.
France are playing Kounde, a CB, at right back. Admittedly I haven’t seen him play much but surely we have to target him.
I’m somewhat amazed that in 2022 we are still so vulnerable to house break-ins. Especially the rich and famous.
Didn’t know that, but then I haven’t watched too much despite the games always being on. My opinion is only based on that one game so I don’t know if the RB just had an off day. I also got the impression that the wide players, Mbappe and Dembele(?) didn’t track back too much to help the FBs which may be why they were exposed in the game I watched. Maybe the French approach is, you push your FBs forward and our wide players will stay up front for a quick clearance into space.
Their regular right back is Benjamin Pavard, but apparently his recent performances (Australia in particular) have caused his teammates to complain. Mainly Dembele, who plays in front of him in right mid. Deschamps said to the French media that he was disappointed with Pavard's body language after the game too or something. You know the French. Always a bit of hostility behind the scenes.
