Love it. Previous England captain/coach combinations would’ve kept going and themselves the last 8-10 overs tonight Others would’ve carried on past lunch tomorrow ‘just to be sure’
Under previous management/captains this would have been a very dull draw. Stokes and McCullum have just transformed the test team into a team full of courage and belief. Just fantastic to watch.
Oh wow what a test match. Full credit to England for the aggressive declaration which set up a thrilling final day.
Play to win wins it again. So pleased for Ben Stokes and the boys. Jimmy Anderson is a complete freak of nature.
Watched the 5th day highlights of the test and was absolutely amazed at how aggressive our fielding positions were, even when they had settled batsmen at the crease. Brilliant bit of captaincy and well backed up by everyone else. Shocked to find out that that was only the 3rd time England have won a test match in Pakistan.
Gary Ballance released by Yorkshire, a very decent top order batsman if he can get his mind right and put past troubles behind him. However, BBC article says that he's agreed not to play for anyone else in 2023 so I wonder if any counties will act now to sign him up for 2024 onwards?
Turning sharply on day 1 of the 2nd test in Pakistan. Not going to be the run fest of the 1st test. Pakistan leggie on debut has taken all 6 England wickets to fall.
