Why do they not ask people if they are prepared to pay huge amounts of tax to fund all of this public ownership? The private sector pays the taxes that fund all of the wasteful, inefficient public sector. The NHS is publicly owned. The public sector unions are the ones that were out on strike all the time in the 1970s, which led to most of these unionised things being sold off to the private sector. Those postal workers currently on strike for a pay rise work for a Royal Mail that loses £1m a day – the solution will be to sack a load of them because they refuse to change their working practises. How stupid can they get?
