Well took the lead but France seemed to wake up and took control .

Surprised a working manager is in Qatar .

Guess it helps Burnley are doing well though .

Canada turned in the most Watford like performance imaginable, everything except the end product.

Just as Germany went all Spursy.

Portugal got away with that in many ways .

Bit more confidence to get forward earlier by Ghana and composure at the end and Portugal might have been in trouble.

Most of the Championship games this season on Friday have been better than that.

England never seem to perform on ITV well!

    USA played better .

That was like watching Watford away from home under Edwards

One thing about a World Cup in winter you do not worry about what you could have done outside instead of wasting two hours watching Englands best players stifled by Southgate

Southgate made it sound like USA are some sort of formidable force in his post match interview saying we had to defend well and they were very strong/athletic etc .

Then seemed to suggest Wales won’t be the same - expecting an easy game to manage ?

He seemed more happier after last night than when we won 6-2 which says it all really .

Done well to get a squad together that want to play for each other etc but are doubts over his in game management.

The game could have done with a bit of hoofball from England!
I wonder what would have happened if we had gone a goal down?

I was lucky enough to be stuck in a traffic jam on the North Circular A405/A13 for 2 hours and missed the match!

Not a bad game between Tunisia and Australia, especially the second half - exciting, end to end stuff - with an unexpected win for the Aussies.

I've said it before and will say it again, Australia's central defender Harry Souttar is a player we should be trying to sign - he had an excellent game - is wasted at Stoke City. :)

With all the stoppage time being added on this could be a problem when it comes down to the knockout stages and possibility of extra time (and penalties) - they could be taking up to two and a half hours to decide some matches !

Dubious penalty for the Saudis. Also worthy of note that the corner should not have been awarded but an indirect free kick to Poland for encroachment.

Not seen a game yet, due to being out at sea. Mexico v Argentina later, and got a couple of mates coming round to Mexicanise things more. Mrs isn't bothered, but we can united in our hate of the Argies. All Latinos hate their arrogance too.

Mexico might well struggle, but hope we can give them a game. About time I saw one too. Got a good Tequila too, a nice slow sipping one to relax and enjoy.
