The England boys read your post Emu and decided to rein in all that talk of good 0-0s

What? Said I cheer the team on not Southgate. But then it’s the same team that got loads of plaudits last time out… probably from the same experts blaming the selection tonight. We were utter gash tonight.

    Turgid performance.
Just saw the interviews with Kane and Maguire, hot country 90 plus minutes of footie, not even sweating.
    They all just strolled around.

what part of I’m not interested in Southgate are you struggling to grasp fella <laugh>

but since you won’t let it go… no one has ever added credibility to their argument by quoting piers Morgan

2018 was great. Host nation Russia put on some great displays 5- 0 battering of the Saudi's, 3-1 win over Salah's boys, knocked the Spanish out on pens and finally a penalty shootout knockout by Croatia in an entertaining game.
World champs knocked out at the group stage, looked like they'd pulled themselves together in game 2 with a 95th min winner against the Swedes, only to be knocked out in the final matchday by the Koreans.
Portugal 3-3 Spain (scum keeper at fault for 1 of the goals)
    France 4-3 Argentina
England winning on pens against a Colombian side missing their best player.
England losing to Croatia in extra time.
    Final- France 4-2 Croatia.

    2014 was also great :emoticon-0148-yes:

Fair points … I guess I was thinking more in terms of the standard of the teams. We made the semi’s without playing anyone of note, A mediocre Croatia making the final. Too many of the better nations had teams in transition - guess that adds to the excitement in one sense but it lost its sense of occasion for me if that makes sense. Loved 2014.

The difference in headlines between Dan James who has been slammed in the Welsh media and Tyler Adams in the National/International press is massive. Unfortunately Dan James shows he ain’t worth £25m but Adams looks to be a bargain and possibly a player top clubs will try and buy

Even Chris Sutton says he is as good if not better than £100m rated Declan Rice. He marked Rice at 4/10 and Adams 8/10

Tyler Adams made Bellingham look lke a lumbering oaf and Rice was not even worthy of being compared.

Maybe Jesse should reconsider our midfield and have Tyler at the base with 2 more attack minded players in front ?
