And I thought that Saints fans were bitter after players leave the club... https://www.ibroxnews.com/2022/11/1...southampton-since-quitting-rangers-in-summer/
I hope this writer doesn’t find out it was 6m and not 10m. They will be even more upset I also don’t think the comment on goals being harder to come by in the premier league is quite the own they think it is
They aren’t really too far off the mark though are they? Obviously a bit OTT but he has been a poor signing so far I think. Couple of people I know who follow the SPL were surprised he got a PL move off of his time at Rangers but here we are
As many PL.teams put out second string teams in this competition, it seems a farce not to play the last 16 and qfs before the resumption. As it is, I feel City Will put out as strong a team.as possible in an attempt to.get a win against what appears to be their hoodoo team.
Oh yeah I’m not writing him off completely, just saying that while that article is premature it’s hard to argue with it. With our current predicament as well he needs to come good pretty quickly
The Boatmen are sitting pretty 7 points clear at the top of the table as they bid to get promoted to the highest ever level in the club's history... https://www.sholingfc.co.uk/index.php/first-team/features
I see David Johnson has sadly died. I met him in Malta, where I was living at the time - 1986 or 87. He was playing for a lower league Maltese team - he flew over every couple of weeks to play - if I recall correctly, it was part of a commercial arrangement with the tourism business, which he was getting into. Anyway, I was pals with one of the other players, so I rocked up to a post match session in a pub where I had a blether with Johnson. Nice bloke. It was strange watching him play in a kick-about game on a pitch with barely a blade of grass on it, whereas a few years earlier I saw him play for Liverpool against Aberdeen in the European Cup. RIP.
Sholing's goal machine, Dan Mason, scored a hat-trick last night in a 3-1 away win to send the Boatmen TEN points clear at the top.
I know there are a number of people on here with strong views on football shirts being sponsored by betting companies. I spotted the following, short comment indicating how vulnerable young men are looking for help to stop gambling and having suicidal thoughts. ONLINE gambling is causing a surge in suicidal young men turning up at A&E, NHS bosses say. A 42% annual rise in demand for NHS gambling clinics has resulted in two more opening in England, with seven now open. Matt Gaskell, of the NHS Northern Gambling Ser-vice, said they are full of “young men in football shirts” who fall foul to predatory betting firms as the NHS picks up the tab. He said: “People see sui-cide as a genuine escape.”
