We know now that we're not winning this. Nothing has been learned since the Euros.

We look unstoppable on the front foot but we've got a coach wrestling us back.

No doubt Gabriel will ask him some tough, challenging questions. Or maybe not. Thanks Gabriel.

I agree, they had 7 corners and Maguire got his head to 6 of them.
We were awful going forward though, Mount and Rice not showing for the ball gave our back 4 no options

Turned off in 6th min. Couldn't watch the maguire to stones to maguire to stones to maguire to stones routine again.

The issue is when England are off it, he struggles to make positive changes to change the game

It was his usual **** for me, allowed them to come on and defend (very nearly came unstuck again) hope he has some luck in him because with our squad attack is the best form of defence and if he still can’t see it…..USA aren’t bad mind

Highlight of that for me was @John Wick Americanism style commentary....brilliant.

Hope you do the same against Wales....though you might need to turn spell-check off.

Sterling gash, Bellingham gash, Southgate gash. Kane can't do it up front, no pace. No craft in mid-field, pass it side ways keeps possession but does not break teams down. 4 out of 10.

USA were very good tonight. We were poor, but we didn't lose which leaves us in pole position.

Our pressing was awful tonight and the energy levels seemed way down. Kane was off the boil and Bellingham had a stinker. Maguire probably motm followed by Stones. Henderson and Grealish helped us retain the ball and probably stopped us losing but there was no effect on our attacking threat - the most telling moment was when Maguire ran out of defence with the ball and he was the 3rd furthest player forward with Kane and Rashford both marked.

I agree with Neville that I want to see Foden and Alexander-Arnold in the next game.

England are ****e. England fans just need to be realistic. USA played well, England aren't as good as they think

Typical England fan reaction - every defeat, or disappointing draw puts the team under the microscope and players who, 5 days ago were heroes are suddenly "gash"

The reality is somewhere in the middle

We were deliberately reserved 'cos we didn't need to be anything else . . . . that was obvious, we didn't expend any more energy than necessary and we'll have plenty left when we need it.

I'm not disappointed with that performance 'cos we did what we needed to do without taking any risks with fatigue or injuries :emoticon-0148-yes:

A little bit of zip, Gareth? You were back to buttons & Velcro pal, not a zip in sight.

He struggled to explain why no Foden, I thought.
