Not a clue mate. Probably, but officially Chelseas owners are American I think. They've opened Pandoras box unfortunately and the lid ain't going back on anytime soon.

Spoke about this to my Liverpool supporting mate and he has no issue with Saudis buying Liverpool as it keeps them at the top table.

He would rather sell his soul and embrace a super league as long as Liverpool are in it.

Watching Man Utd fans being interviewed outside Old Trafford, about a possible takeover, was quite sad and not only because most of them seemed to be tourists or obviously not from the NW.

They were only interested in money being thrown at the club so they can get above Man City ...

... the source of that money is irrelevant, they'd have Putin in charge.

The big clubs have totally sold out and they're destroying our game.

I want Sunderland to play good football, I've given up on winning the too trophies and I don't want to be owned by a state.

Its a very very sad state of affairs & i can see many fans becoming more disillusioned with the game & walking away.

My grandad was a mag, but used to have season tickets for them & us as he loved watching football, actually went to 66 world cup final, 73 cup final..then watched them lot loose if 64. My mam said he cane home from a mag game, sometime late 70s disgusted saying he would never go to a game of football again if thats how it was turning, someone had been stabbed behind him....he never entered a football ground again, did finish the season, i asked him a number of times when i got older if id been given tickets, i coukd see he was tempted but never went again

I think were reaching this point with sportswashing sadly

Plastic by any chance? Not from Liverpool?

I think there would be a larger protest group from Liverpool fans than the mags! Just because they have had success recently but the vast majority would accept it and be happy with getting loads of cash spent.

If Liverpool or Man Utd get purchased by the Middle East, I think that will be the final straw and I'll be a Sunderland fan only rather than a football fan. If it ever happened to us, I'd walk away for good.

I think all "Top" clubs that have been awash with success have been looking at Newcastle and thinking "Why them and not us", As its been mentioned, Newcastle were the start, its here and happening, the end of football as we know it, and won't be long before the first player on a million pound a week will "Grace" the Premier leauge.

I actually hope that if the Saudi money is coming it comes quickly and the so called super league mess gets done and they all bugger off quickly as well.

This could be the big reset football needs and can't come quick enough for me

I fully agree and of someone at the fa is clever enough to realise that it would be a chance to put right the things that piss the average fan off.

Stupid kick off times dictated by TV
The fa cup having no real value
The league cup being a joke of a competition now
Fixtures being changed to suit TV
The lower leagues being treated with disdain by those with money
A "premier" league that's set up to suit those with stupid amounts of money and the rest panicking every year to survive

Yet another of the 'handful of idiots' on Breakfast News this morning. They were going round the England fans, in various places, when they arrived in Newcastle.

It's 2022, the World Cup and we're all supporting England ...

.... so there's a grown man jumping up and down for the camera which seems to be their speciality.

    On his forehead, scrawled in magic marker, is S H E A R E R <doh>

It would be embarrassing if one of us had 'Pickford' scribbled across our forehead ...

... and he's actually playing in the World Cup!

I am surprised they could find someone amongst their "fans" who could actually write, any road up I would have thought the Nayshun would be supporting Saudi Arabia not England :emoticon-0102-bigsm 20221126_124715.jpg
