Agreed....There's no way in God's earth that any of our players will have been made an offer to improve their contract that our owner does not endorse. Pure nonesense.
Aye, if he wants £100K a week give him it. There's no such thing as dressing room upsets or budgets so why not.
If all he wanted was £15k a week, this would have been sorted in the summer. We're already paying that to some players, it doesn't break our structure. The club will be prepared to make Stewart the highest paid player at the club, the question is simply whether he's happy for us to just stretch out structure a little or whether he's demanding we tear it up. I think it's somewhere in between and a deal still gets done.
STEWART'S MOWBRAY FIRST IMPRESSIONS Ross Stewart hasn't played much under Tony Mowbray, but is raring to go and help the team turn good performances into good results... CONVERSATIONS "I’ve obviously not had much pitch time with him but I’ve had multiple talks with him, as a manager and as a person he’s very down to earth, he’s been keen to keep track of how I’m doing, telling me how keen he has to have me back and involved." PLAY STYLE "I can see that he’s a manager who wants the team to get on the ball, to play and trust each other. He wants to dominate the ball - there’s a lot to like about the team, the results just haven’t quite been where we want them to be." WORLD CUP BREAK "Hopefully after the break we’ll have some players back and we’ll have a bigger squad and the results will turn. He’s made a great impression, the boys are right behind him and how he wants to play, it’s just about turning performances into results now." STEWART & SIMMS "There’s a lot of good creative players here and I’ve got no doubt that when I’m back they’ll still be creating those chances, and it’ll be down to me and Ellis to just try and put the ball in the back of the net."
