The last three teams to have beaten Argentina at the World Cup have gone on to reach the tournament final (France, Germany, Croatia).
Do you mean the Argentina team as a whole or Messi? I assume you mean the team as a whole, and yes their forward line was bullied by a more physical Saudi backline.
Turbo on the bench. Got a decent order from a new customer in Mexico about an hour ago, so I’m supporting them.
Well as you write I am in La Ventana Mexico on the the Baja Penninsula-winter home. So like you will be supporting MX
Well I do try to limit it. But old habits die hard and coming from a culture (i.e. the UK) in which alcohol is inbred into the social fabiric that is not easy. And I gotta say I do enjoy an occasional IPA.
Amazingly quite a few countries consume more alcohol per capita than we do contrary to the picture presented by the anti alcohol fanatics in the health service.
big problem in uk is the binge drinking. ie huge amounts in short time versus smaller lots of times in other places not including depressing places like russia etc
True. Partly due to an inbred culture of drinking against the clock due to our restricted opening hours and also in Europe drinking is just part of a night out, often accompanied by a meal and conversation in cafe bars whereas booze is the sole focus of a night out here in a pub.
You have to be over fifty to even remember the old restricted hours, I doubt it's having much of an impact nowadays. It's more about the discounted Jagerbombs and tequilla slammers and various other cocktail promotions that city centre bars seem obsessed with.
Meh of a first half there - neither side looking like they will progress too far into this competition
