Woke up to watch the race this morning, then thought, naaah, and crawled back in to bed for a sleep in. Is it worth watching? I want to check it out for Seb's last race, but doesn't look like a thriller.
Now you know the result I’d say probably not. Seb had some good battles in the early laps before strategy hindered him, so you could always watch the first half, where most of the interest was.
Can’t really fathom anyone not voting for Norris or Seb in the poll? Anyone who voted for Hamilton or Leclerc want to explain themselves!
I voted for Hamilton because I wanted him to keep his record of a win in every season, especially with coming off Merc’s strong form in Brazil.
Will probably stick it on while cleaning the fish tank. Hope we get a competitive season next year... Had real high hopes at the start of this one
Really sad seeing Vettel depart the cockpit for the last time. It feels like he should have so much more in him. A good bloke, and his departure is a loss to F1. Indy?
Had a tear in my eye watching Seb's interview on the grid. Genuinely sad to see him go. Proper good bloke.
Vettel’s probably been my favourite driver of the last 20 years, but I think he’s been a shadow of the driver he was since it started to go wrong at Ferrari. I believe he has big plans for the future, so I really hope this is the right decision for him.
Well... It's all about opinions, and it would be boring as hell if we all agreed, but his departure is a big loss to the sport imo. Hopefully whatever he does next brings him happiness and fulfilment.
I didn't like him when he was at Red Bull but I now realise it wasn't him it was Red Bull. Since he left I have seen him in a much better light. Hopefully what ever he does he is happy.
Same boat for me really didn't dislike so much, but just didn't particularly care... Then he moved to Ferrari and I was sold. Funny, humble, compassionate and fast. Those are all pretty solid attributes.
Those who voted for Hamilton,me included, wanted him to win, which is what the question was this week.
I think there's a maturity aspect to it as well. Red Bull Seb was young and headstrong (and perhaps didn't have the right people around him). As he's got older he's seemingly got more comfortable with who he is and what he wants to be, and he's become one of my favourite drivers on the grid. Hamilton, Button perhaps had similar personal development within F1.
Thanks, I guess I get that, although in a way I’m glad that stat has gone as it is somewhat anomalous given (almost) all other drivers started their careers in back/mid grid machinery.
Anyone who voted for Hamilton or Leclerc want to explain themselves is the statement that you made,so that is what I did.To suggest that romance in the soul has anything to do with that is deviating away from the topic.Just saying.
I liked his reference to driving round in circles. He has matured, I have had more respect for him these last two seasons than at any other time in his career. I am sure we will see him on one of Martins grid walks (although I rarely watch those these days). Unconvinced he will race in the Indy series, I believe his maturity is taking him in other directions but accept I may be wrong. He is intelligent and considered.
