Cracking race Pilgrim. On the face of it you would have to side with the current favourite Scarlet and Dove to win it. Dolcita is interesting in receipt of weight but will need to run up to her best while I am slightly interested in Ballyshannon Rose at a bigger price on the forecast ground. I think she's a real good Mare but just fails to produce consistency, maybe an early season surprise could be in store. I'd take the fave to win and Ballyshannon to run into the placings.

Been some real great Mares that have landed this listed prize through the years, Vroum Vroum Mag, Shattered Love to name just 2 of the recent winners.

This race does appear somewhat Fred Darling-ish to me. Prep, Hors d'Oeuvres and all that...

Interestingly though I see that the favourite has won the last 7 renewals of this Listed heat.

Sajwaan was certainly a disappointment yesterday, given every chance by Luke Morris, but failed to run-on. Back to NH today.

In Div.2 of the Class-5 Handicap Hurdle at Wincanton over an extended 2m3f (15:50), the Free Eagle filly Blitz Spirit is a longshot who might well run into a podium finish?. Philip Armson (3) rides for the Alexandra Dunn stable.

14/1 (Bet365) is the best price at time of writing, but 12/1 is probably more accurate? Anyway, E/W is the best option.

Ran and jumped OK for a long way but faded badly at the finish. Drop-back in trip might help? Good hurdles debut by the winner.

Very close. Doclita was entitled to that with the weight receipt but Scarlet and Elimay ran well below par today.
